Hair, that is too bad about Kat getting sore. She sure is a pretty mare. I hope it is not anything serious.
Beaker, wow, that's a pretty big horse. Glad you had fun.
I took a trip to Home Depot yesterday and bought a new floor sweeper. My other one was not doing very well, as far as picking up. I bought a Dyson "animal", that works well for getting all the pet hair. It was pretty expensive, but works great! I also found a great deal on a white picket fence, which I will post pics of later.
Good evening. I’m back...we didn’t do any good at all this time. To many distractions for me. The biggest being the weather, and trail conditions. The area has been getting lots of rain, and we started in the rain yesterday, something I was hoping not to have to do. The trails were just sloppy, sucky, slippery, rocky boggy mess. The rain clear about 1/2 thru yesterday, so that was nice. But it started again raining hard this morning around 3, and didn’t stop till we were about 30 minutes from the finish line. And it turned cold today too, and windy. With all the horse traffic and additional rain the trails were even worse. There was no place that you didn’t have to deal with sinking mud.
Harley did well as far as condition, and even in all the mud, he was walking 4mph. We were hitting are time marks with no problem, and very little trotting/loping.
The obstacles was were I had trouble, were I always have trouble. We just didn’t do any of them well. He finished with 89 1/2 points, and I finished with 93. So we didn’t do bad, just not well enough to place.
Anyway, I’ll go thru my pictures, and maybe post some tonight.
I’m sorry Kat hurt her foot, I hope it’s not serious. She looks good.

I too hope Kat’s foot is not serious... I’ve been wanting to hear back about it all weekend, see if she’s better.
Well, thanks...but that’s the way its works. Both our scores were pretty good, the things he got marked off for were actually more my mistakes, I let him break to a lope going up hill, he walked off during the judged mount, for a backing obstacle, I was in his mouth to much trying to hurry, and he got a bit resistive, just things like that.. I just had trouble concentrating. It wasn’t a fun ride. LOL...as of now, I’ve decided, I’m not riding in the rain like that anymore..:)...if that makes me a wimp, I don’t care, it’s not fun, and this is suppose to be fun.
Well, let us know if you hear something about Kat.
Well, it is your free time... I think it’s OK to make a rule that you don’t want to do it in crappy weather ;~) I don’t ride in bad weather, but you already knew that ;~)
I think Bob went away for the weekend, I’ll call again tomorrow evening.

Anyway, this horse is Elmer. Elmer has won so many Nat'l Championships, one just last year, that he is in the NATRC hall of fame. He's an Arab, and he's 36 yo. He was at this ride, he was in the Open division, and he got 1st:).
Here is him and his rider getting ready to time out Sat morn. He's the gray on the left with the rider in the yellow slicker. I think she is as old in people years as he is in horse years:)...Little skinny, scrawny older lady, that looks like she dips snuff:), has two braids, and wears this funny wide brimmed hat that she cut the crown out so her helmet can come thru:)..She's a character, but very inspiring.She and Elmer got a standing ovation when she won:) She got 1st place too.

Trying to stay out of the bog, but it didn't help, it was so bad even at the sides of the trail is was a mess, and really got bad by yesterday because everyone was doing it.

And lunging. We did get an excellent and + mark for our lunging:) so some of our practice paid off.
