I love the pictures of that child :) He is such a sweetheart. Long day here. My son graduated the law enforcement academy/post today, it’s been a long five months. Nice ceremony but it’s hot here so a bit draining. Then we had to drive up to pick up Tuffy for the show on Sunday and we were up there a couple hours. The trainer is really pleased with him so she wanted us to see him work. Then got home this evening and vaccumned and started rugs through the laundry. I still have to mop floors, start the ribs and make macaroni salad and deviled eggs for tomorrow. Although the way I feel, I might just get up early and do it :)
I forgot in my post to cover everything :) I don’t much like this pattern either. :)
Hey Frog... a guy just posted on the horse forum that Racking horses shouldn't rack long periods... something about them being hollow an uncollected or something... what's up there? relationship between feed and energy
Thanks.
No this one is closer even then Robbers Cave. About an hours drive for me. I did it last year. John Zink Ranch in Sand Springs. It’s a fun ride, not to hard, not to easy.
Celia told me this past week, she’s not sure her horse will make it thru the whole ride, but she’s going to try, so she’ll be there.

Thanks so much:)
Congratulations to your son.
Funny how fast the weather changes for you...seems like just yesterday you were saying it was cold.
So is this an important show for Tuffy? What classes will he be in? Good Luck!!
Becky
Pics? :~)
OK - well that’s all exciting. :~) I’m looking forward to it :~)
Thanks. No, this is just our first local show of the year and we’re still hoping to beat Lisa’s black arab :) He will just be in Halter, stallions 3 and under and Open Color Halter. An we just want him to stay accustomed to the show circuit and learn to chill out.
LOL - yes I took pictures, I was going to wait and download them all Sunday night but I guess I can start downloading so I can clear the camera for Sunday.
~smiles~
Well on Sunday you’ll have show pictures to show... We want the today pictures today! :~D
Coming up shortly :)
The class coming in.
My son.
Tuffy behaving like one of the big boys :)
Kelly is doing a lot of work with him teaching him to flex and sidepass, (that's not what she calls it) and back up. She want's him working off his rear end, not his front end.
She has him going from a walk to a lope with the right lead very well from the right, from the left he still wants to pull himself into it, instead of push into a lope but she keeps saying he's incredibly smart, he's only been under saddle 30 days and he listens to her leg cues like a pro.
Great pictures of your son’s graduation! Congratulations to him, and his mom!
And tuffy looks fabulous! He’s a very nice horse Duchess, do you like him yet?
Well, I am more impressed each time I see him. It’s so nice to see him doing well and behaving so well. I think Kelly treats him like a horse and a stud horse to boot so she never gives him an inch to get out of line. You can see he really likes her and respects her. Janelle always treated him like a cute little baby and he walked all over her - then tried to walk all over Bob. He really enjoys working and learning and that’s great.
Well good. He’s in a good place. And this trainer’s giving him some good experience taking him to the show. What’s she showing him in? Is there a special snaffle bit class?
The trainer friend of ours can't go to the Nationals, can't afford it. Well, for us to pick up the whole tab it will be really expensive. We can show him in Calfornia, Oregon and maybe Montana for less and get him exposure and experience at three shows, along with points. Up in the air on this one - I really don't look forward to a drive to Oklahoma and don't know what bank I'd rob to finance it.
Ah - OK - I thought she might be entering him under saddle.
I hope for the best on his show schedule... I think he’s good enough to do really well.
I think she’s shooting for June 9th at a local show near him to show him under saddle. I think she plans on entering him in several classes then - she’s looking for wet saddle blankets :)
Well, excited to see that too. :~)
That’s the weekend we were hoping to go to the Horse Expo in Sacramento but I think it runs three days so we’ll just go on Sunday if he makes the Saturday show.
