Depends on when/if we get the truck fixed. I am pretty bummed right now about it all.
I imagine so. I hate having an unreliable vehicle!
Hey everyone.
Scary weather here. Big dark scary look clouds, t-storms, rain and tornado watches! Eeep!
Take care Beaker! Find yourself a hidey-hole!
A few pictures...I had some pretty lilies bloom.
And I was sitting in the living room and a hummer flew in. I watched for her to fly back out, and finally had to go look for her. She was in the utility room bashing herself against the window. I caught her, I was surprised how easy it was.
She sure took off fast when I opened my hand:)

Very cool on both counts!
We just got our mower back from the shop... (new igniter thingy hundred bucks please!)
The good news is, the lawn is finally looking good. Better than a month ago :~)
Very pretty:) Looks like it did last year while I was there...I’m surprised how much it thinned out during the winter.
Becky
It just always takes a beating in winter.. we’re always on it... the dogs are on it... all the downed branches were on it. We pretty much have to reseed every spring.
Well it is sure pretty now. My front yard gets pretty thin to during the winter. I try not to leave it going into the winter long, that helps.

He looks like a war horse:’)
Hey Cindy, good to see you around:) Working a lot still?
Frog, I’m sure we’ve been thru this, but I can’t remember:), do you feed/use electrolytes?
Cable is repaired, a problem down the road. Thank goodness, I didn't have to wait until Monday.
My trailer is finished, but the cushion pattern I ordered didn't come in, so he went ahead and put these in. I am not sure I am liking it. The other was a Navajo pattern and I ordered Appaloosa horses border trim. Guess I will get used to it.
Oh I think it’s really cute... Course I didn’t see the other options.
Did they reimburse you in some way for your having to settle for not getting something you wanted that you were told you could get?
Becky
No he didn’t make any kind of offer like that. When I see it in person and really don’t care for it, then maybe I will complain.

Wow! Those lillies are spectacular! I’ve never raised any of those but I sure like them.
Catching the little hummer was really cool too. I found one in the cat’s water bowl one evening a couple of years ago. It was dark and at first I thought it was a frog, but when I turned the porch light on there was this little green Ruby-throated hummer sitting there, all soaking wet. I picked him up about like you did and took him in the house to show my husband. After the proper amount of oooo-ing and aaaah-ing I took him back out and set him on a branch to dry out. He sat there and revved his little engines for a while so I figured he was going to be ok and left him there. He was gone the next morning so I assume he flew off to be with his buddies. Hummers are so cool!
In other news, since they’re anticipating a strike here at the plant this fall, they’re requiring all the salaried people to take mobile equipment training, so I just got back in from having a refresher course in fork lift and dolly driving. The fork lift is no problem, it’s kinda like driving a tractor with a front end loader on it, aside from steering with the rear wheels. But the dolly is a whole ‘nother thing. Not only does it steer from the rear, but it doesn’t have a steering wheel. It’s got, for lack of a better word, a tiller, like a boat, and trying to keep it straight which way to push the tiller to make it turn which way really screws my head up, and it’s different depending on whether you’re going backwards of forwards. And to top it all off, you’re hauling a 40,000 pound coil of aluminum on the front end of it that you can’t see around. So it was pretty interesting. I passed, but I sure wouldn’t wanna be anywhere near me if I have to drive one of those things for real.
I do occasionally, usually only when it's over 90* and really really humid. I just keep the powder and mix it into a thick paste and squirt it in their mouth with a large barrel wormer tube. Otherwise I just top dress about a tablespoon of plain salt on their feed every day and have a free-choice white salt block out all the time.
I'm with you, I'm not real sure I like it either. I think I'd ask him to send me the pattern I ordered when ever it comes in, coz what you described sounds a whole lot prettier. If he won't do that then I'd ask him to throw in something else, like some other option or gadget or what ever, for free.
