I think they get use to them, and as long as they know you have them you don't have to use them much.

Queen is to old (26 this year) for me to worry about spurs on her anymore. She really does not need them anyway, she has been really good the last couple of years and we don't ride her much anymore. As long as she can follow she will go just about anywhere.

BladeRider has really pulled the weight off of Blade and he really looks better too

Well.....He has put on a few since you saw him last so we cut back to one meal a day. It is always such a battle with him to keep him trim. Jakes weight looks great and usually when Jake looks great Blade is to fat. Our grass must be starting to come in good now.

Wow, it’s just been 2wks since we rode and he was almost too thin then. He must’ve really put it on. Speaking of our last ride, what was the problem with the truck? Is it fixed now?

We replaced the fuel filter and it still is jumping. Gary is going to replace the plugs, plug wires, distributor cap and something else. My son does not think it is the fuel pump, he said it would go out and not do that jumping thing.

He is not to fat right now but could soon get there. Like I said, his weight is hard to keep steady. I am trying to keep on top of his weight and not let him get to heavy.

[Duchess, question:), have you ever heard that “trotting on gravel helps build bone” in a horse?]

Nope, never heard that. I have heard that trotting on gravel will make a horse's feet sore.

I do think he looks trimmer than in previous pictures :~)

He looks good.

We just got back from the dump. Dumped all our frap.

I wish I had a dump close by. I’ve got all kinds of old broken crap that needs to go. Of course I’d probably come back with more of somebody else’s old broken crap than I took over there. ;o)

There’s a big sign at the dump “no scavenging”.

I brought home one of those big cable spools once though, that made a pretty good table outside :~)

Killjoys! I'm sure that there are things that some people throw away that other people could use. But I guess they don't want scads of people out there rummaging around and getting hurt, so I guess that's a good thing.

Every time we take a load of aluminum cans to the recyclers my husband usually sees some piece of metal something-or-other that he can find a use for. If you want it, all you have to do is pay for it by the pound. But we haven't actually come home with anything yet. We just don't have any room to store anything right now

There was a couple there once we overheard fighting about a suitcase a guy saw someone dump. It was a nice looking older hard sided suitcase, was clean inside, nothing wrong with it, but the woman was just mortified that he wanted to take it. She just stomped off and went and sat in the truck. He stood there a long time looking at it, looking at the back of her head in the truck... and then he left it there ;~)

Back when we hauled trash, for the first year or so we were always pulling stuff out of people’s trash and bringing it home, thinking we’d use it for something. Pretty soon we had so much frap we landed up loading it all back up and taking it to the dump:)

I did retrieve a lot of books..but that’s all I allowed once the “new” wore off of finding good stuff:)

The appeal wears off all that frap eventually, eh? ;~)

Is it a weird "hiccup" all most when you're moving along at a constant speed? My mother's toyota does that.

Good morning. Beautiful day here today, cooler then it has been but still very nice.

Today is my day with Tucker, so the horse gets a break today:). I think he will enjoy that, He’s been worked 5 days in a row now.

Julia called this morning:)....she is suppose to come ride tomorrow at 11...we’ll see if she makes it:) She’s going to have to ride tho, I’m not pussyfooting around babying her anymore. It’s time to sink or swim.

Hey, I'd've taken it. Those things are good for storing stuff in, especially in places like barns and storage buildings where you want to kinda keep the dirt off. But I guess the guy didn't think the suitcase was worth sleeping on the couch for a week.

We’ve got a little bit of rain here today but it’s not supposed to last long, then we’ll be cooler too. The weekend weather’s supposed to be great so I’m really looking forward to it. I’m hoping to get to ride both days.

Hopefully Julia will suck it up and really ride tomorrow. When she sees that you’re going to cater to her anymore then she’s going to have to either sh** or get off the pot. ;o)
