Ruby's the same way. When she wants something, she comes and plants herself in front of me and BARKS.
Shelley has already taught her to use her paws as "hands", to get stuff off the counters, turn door handles, etc.
Shelley has her dewclaws, and uses them like opposable thumbs, to hold things. Ruby can't do that, because she was de-dewclawed at birth.

He just turned 8 in March. So he was 5 in that picture.
Celia and I just got in from a glorious 3+ hour ride, and I think we timed it great, it looks to start raining any time.
The horses are going to be happy, they have the next 2 days off because we are going to the CA clinic tomorrow and Sunday.
Chainsaw lesson...sounds fun:)

I’ve never seen them in a catalog, and Celia said she hadn’t either. I use a trailer tie strap to tie Harley to the trailer here at the house to saddle with. So the adjustable one will be perfect for my rides.

CA clinic - as in Clinton Anderson? Why did I not know you were going to a clinic? That sounds fun.... take pictures, if you can!
To: HairOfTheDog
Yes, Clinton Anderson. I mentioned about a week ago I was going, you must have missed it.
I’ve actually had the tickets since last Dec. If you bought them before Dec 31 you got one free. I gave my free one to Celia.
We have to leave my house tomorrow morning by 6:30:\, Sat. it goes from 8-6 and Sun 8-4.
Do you think they will let pictures be taken?

Good heavens...that lester person is a real bugger isn’t she:)...Did you see that one thread we were on with her. 2 more of her posts deleted for being baiting and inflammatory. She just doesn’t get it does she. How much will they put up with before banning her, do you know.
Becky
To: PayNoAttentionManBehindCurtain
I missed the replies before they got deleted.... I don’t know how long she’ll be around ;~)
Been talking in Private with the mollie poster... she knows them (there’s three of them who all know each other) from a John Lyons board, and she said they bullied that whole forum for far too long before they finally got booted out of there.
I don’t know about the camera, but do bring it just in case, and take notes :~) He’s one I’m not familiar with at all except what I’ve heard. I don’t get that channel you guys all get. Frog took pictures and video at Parelli, but I don’t know if she was supposed to ;~)
To: HairOfTheDog
Hmmmmmmmm...I bet gohippy and buttercup are the other two.
I’ll take the camera and batteries.

Get yourself a couple of sawbucks (you can make them with a couple of 2x4s and a big carriage bolt) and that will go a long way towards keeping pinned logs safe.
I used to share an office with a guy who majored in forestry before he went to law school. Learned a lot from him!

Well I had a horsey filled day today! I had my lesson, and it went very very well. My trainer has convinced me to do a couple of shows this summer. (It wasn't very hard) I went with HER to a lesson, she rides with the trainer whose clinic I'm attending in June, and I'm going to a show with her and the rest of the barn tomorrow. When I go to the clinc, I'll have to take pictures. This barn is GORGEOUS, with wood paneling that's better than I've seen in some houses. They have a foyer, a foyer with a remington statue and recessed lighting. :-o a wash stall, heating tackroom, kitchen and shower room. They are so fussy though, that you have to pick out your horses's feet before you enter the barn and after you finish riding in the arena. Afterwards we went and got coffee and left the horse in the trailer with the side door open so he could munch on some hay and look around, and people were enthralled. All the people in the place went out to pet him, and were gushing how much the love horses, etc. The drive through window girl spent more time leaning out the window staring at him then actually doing what she was supposed to do! (grin)
I'm excited about the way that things are turning out. I think that I'm going to take Tammy to the clinic and Oliver to the shows.

Sounds great! I'm glad you've got all that going on!

Oh my indeed. :-) It's really out of this world. We were talking in the parking lot while tacking up the horse, and my trainer said: "I'm going through the side door, but you have to go through the foyer just for the... experience." :-) On the drive over when she was talking about the barn, I said, "My god, am I too dirty to go?" She laughed and said: "I feel like that every time I go!" (Usually her trainer comes to our barn.) She was there on Thursday and said that there was someone polishing the statue and scrubbing the spots on the floor. I wonder if those poor horses are allowed to poop! The barn doesn't feel like a barn at all... it doesn't even smell like one come to think of it.

Wow...sounds like a cool barn. Also sounds like you are going to have a busy summer:)
Kind of slow in here today. I got back home about an hour ago, I’m really tired and have to get up and go again tomorrow. Looking forward to it, I really enjoyed the clinic. It was fun to watch him work the horses. He did 3, one unbroke one, one problem horse, and one that wouldn’t get in a trailer.
I’ve got a few pictures loading, most turned out too dark, and lightened up they aren’t very clear.
