Call names are such individual things that it’d be really hard to pick one for a horse that I didn’t know. I usually run through 3 or 4 that just don’t click before I settle on one that does. But here’s a list of a few that came to mind...

We got a little, off and on during the day, but it appears to have blown over and we’ve got partly sunny skies right now.

Well, hopefully it’ll blow over there too before time for you go to home. Looks like you got the trailing edge of what we got about 2pm. I don’t think we ever had any warnings or anything. I may have heard it thunder once or twice but that was it.
Back down to just a Thunderstorm watch. I think it has moved out for now.
Just checking in and catching up here. We were busy with some springlike projects today...
Cleaned stalls... tidied up the barn, raked up some of the fallen sunflower seeds that are sprouting under the feeder and moved them to some spots out front where they'll get more sun... Not sure if they'll survive or not.
The grass on the first half of the lawn that we seeded over a month ago is finally coming in (finally got to mow it!)... so we moved the temp fence and dug up the other half of the front yard that's gotten worn down over winter...
And seeded that.
Cute kitten pic... Tweek thinks the new chaise lounge Dona gave us is a winner :~)
Looks like you all had a busy day.
Kristy and I took JP fishing again, we caught a couple of little sun perches, he thought that pretty cool. We got sprinkled on, and the wind was bad.

It was a busy day... got some things done that were buggin’ me.
The new shoer comes tomorrow... Weather here is iffy... I might have to strip the stalls again so he can work inside. Will see in the morning.
Well, I’m hoping the new farrier works out for you. Did you ever hear from Mark?
My farrier comes Fri. but it’s suppose to rain, so I’m not sure if we’ll be able to do it.

Boy I wish I could ride today coz it’s absolutely gorgeous. It always seems like bad weather clears the air or something and the day after is usually just crystal clear. It’s a little nippy right now though at 40*, but it’s supposed to get up to 70 by this afternoon.
What time it the new farrier coming?
Be sure to take notes of everything he says, and does, and ask lots of questions.
I still toy with the idea of shoeing with NB shoes, but now I’m torn because Harley is doing so well, but it’s for the long term effects I wonder about. I can see how some of the theory in the NB shoes work and believe those theories could be right. I mainly switched back because the farrier recommended it, I wasn’t sure if Chris really knew all the principles of shoeing that way, (my new farrier says he does), and once I did do it that time, I was a bit taken back by the radical squared toe.
I can tell now at the six week stage, that Harley’s toe’s are pretty squared off, I just don’t know.
