We only had a dusting of snow on the grass I just mowed two days ago. I was wearing shorts and sweating and enjoying the sun. Now this crap!
OK - sounds good :~) I put it on my calender :~)
Bay looks super! Sure does not show his age very much.
You are welcome to stay as long as you want:), but hope you can for sure be here that weekend. Looks to be the time the most people will be here.

Up to you, Blade will ride in anything. Mine has the sleeping quarters in it though, but could always sleep in a tent.
What route would you take? Wondering if we would meet along the road somewhere.
Since I can’t trailer there.. (I wish though) I’m flexible and can come a day or so early to help get panels moved and arranged and ready for all these horses!
I understood you can’t be here that long. I’m figured my itinerary around the days I know you would be here and what we are going to do when. When you and Frog are here we’ll do the big ride and the Pumpkin Patch.
But I’m hoping hair can stay longer, and planning what I’ll do for that time, which is mostly just visiting:)
Becky
I’d be happy for you all to come as early as you can, I just am hoping you come for “at least” the days I mentioned:)
Becky
Yes, this weather sure does suck!
I won’t put you in a tent...:), you might be on a cot, but I have plenty of room in the house:)
Becky
It’s too bad the long drive doesn’t get estrogen and her horse any closer to South Carolina ;~) It could have been part of the move :~)
I love camping out, but whatever works. My trailer has sleeping quarters, microwave, fridge and AC so if we take mine it is not a problem, unless Frog snores!
I could probably bring Jody for you guys. Bodie would ride better with another horse, unless someone wants to hitch a ride with me.
That’s nice... we’ll see if we end up having enough horses... I think so far I’m the only one not bringing her own.
It’s just hard to say what the weather will be like in Oct. Oct is one of those months you just never know...could be very very nice, or very very cold, or in between. Camping in a tent could be very pleasant, or very unpleasant.
Weather is going to play a big part of what all we get to do.

Speaking of getting some extra horses. You remember I loaned my old saddle out way back last year, when I got my new one...well I’m getting it back tomorrow. I told the girl I had to have it because I needed to start riding Rock so he would be in shape for when you all come. If ecurbh comes, that’s who I think he would be most comfortable on...him or Dot. I told her she could keep it till July, but she said come get it now, so I am:) I didn’t want to leave her in a lurch, but....I think she has had it long enough anyway, and this is a good reason to get it back. I’ve sort of been worrying about it. So this worked out great:)
Becky
Agreed.
You think October’s risky for weather? I’m flexible.. I just wilt in the heat is all :~)
Well... I better get ready for the farrier... back in a bit.
Yeah, Oct. is risky...but then most anytime other then the middle of summer heat is risky:) and I don’t even want to do it then.
I remember trick or treating in short sleeves at time, and in snow at times, and in rain at times. Oct can be very nice, we’ll just have to hope for the best. Sept could be just as risky, we might not have to deal with real cold, but it could be raining...so it’s kind of six of one half dozen of another.
If any of this makes anyone want to try a different time, that’s OK by me. This is the exact reason I initiated this topic today.
