Pictures?
It was great to ride today in the sunshine !!! Like Miss Targets, the area around the barn was too muddy so I just went up and down the driveway a few times. Was nice though.
Heck no, he was too dirty! Big old poop stain on his side..ugh! White horse, what was I thinking. He gets great pleasure rubbing his butt in the stall. Half his tail is gone, so I wrapped it in a tail bag. He is probably itchy with shedding, but his butt has a sore on it from all the rubbing. Next I will have to put padding on the window edge to protect him. Goofy horse.
That's great :)
I'm used to dirty horses :) I've got a bunch of them (although it warmed up enough Friday for Prez to get a bath) At this rate, we'll still have dirty horses for the first show.
Good for Allison:)
I didn't get to ride today, but I did watch Charlie ride the dun horse. First time the horse has been rode in 9 months. I had the camera ready, but the horse was great. Not bad for a 4 year old.
We watch some more Lost too. Claire just had her baby, Boone died:(, and Locke, well lock is strange.

Well it sounds like a good start:).
I'm changing bits too. Harley is doing good, but I want to go back to something milder and saver the one I've been using recently for tune ups. I'm actually going to try a light twisted O ring snaffle for a time or two, then go back to the dog bone I was using. The flexing I've been doing with him seems to have lightened him up enough that I think he'll be fine. Bits can be so confusing.
Becky
Cool :~) Glad someone got to ride today :~)
Way to go MT on Odie.... dirt is no excuse for no pictures! :~\ Glad it went without a hitch... Good luck finding a bit that works well for both of you.... there's so many choices, my head spins.
We cleaned stalls, and cleaned out our truck. Tiff's hubby's coming to get it tomorrow to take it to his place and take it apart for us. We've got mouse nests in the vents :~\
Speaking of Tiff, I was thinking of her today:)...wondering how her new horse was doing?
Becky
Mouse in the vents??? Is this your full size truck or the little one?
Becky
She hasn't been on him again I don't think... no time, but I think she's lunged him... he cut his foot and she was treating that, but it wasn't serious. She loves his personality, says he's great with the trimmer and other handling issues. He is a 'friendly' horse. She thinks she might pony him along off Mia, which sounds precarious to me, but will probably work for her. ;~)
Harley is just nasty...I just hate bathing one that still has winter coat tho...makes it so difficult. He is really starting to shed good now tho.
Becky
The horse was broke to ride, wasn't he? just green?
Becky
Yes.... Ugggg Mice invasion of both trucks, I'm afraid. The blue truck is the 'worst'. When you turn on the heater, fuzz and mouse bedding blows out of the vents. :~\ And I think they're up under the dash.... big clumps of bedding fall out from under the dash and end up on the floor. He's going to take the dash apart and take the seat out, and find them.
In the little truck, they don't seem to be in the vents, but there was a nest in the glove box.
I don't think we've been driving either truck enough :~)
Right. He is broke to ride... in terms of arena time... just a little spooky outside the arena.... and sometimes in it. I guess... I still haven't seen him ridden, just heard. Bob blew it up and made him sound really flighty... Tiff was scared at first because of it, but thought afterwards he wasn't ~that~ bad.
I should say you haven't been driving enough:)
I'm surprised Tiff would feel the need to pony the horse...I figured from what you've said about her she'd have just jumped on and rode:).
Well, I'm heading to bed. I sure want to ride tomorrow, but we have a forecast of 100% rain.
Becky
Maybe age and all the talk and warnings from both me and Bob has made her cautious :~) I think she just wants to know a little more about what he's going to do on trail before she takes him out... She's gutsy... but not kamikaze :~) and she's got him bonded with Mia so she thinks he'll do well following her.
Everyone here is dirty too, and although they are starting to shed, really really wooly. Bob started turning on the lights in the barn to speed it up.
Rather cloudy and T-storms are predicted. Good day to do laundry. Outdoor activities will be limited. I took the Christmas lights down yesterday. My daughter puts them up, but gets lazy when it comes to taking them down. All I could think of was the song Red Neck Woman "I leave my Christmas lights on the front porch all year long"....lol
