I hve a friend that lives on Arnold in Woodstock. It is a nice community.
So we KNOW it's a nice area!
The area we are in has grown a lot since we moved here and I don't care for that but still no skyscrapers, Carson City is still pretty small town and I love my mountains. Lots of gangs and drugs moving in but people are finally waking up to it and the Sheriff's Dept has made it number one priority. A lot of the people moving in brought their PC attitude and tolerance with them but things are swinging back. Funny, for a state that has legalized gambling and protitution, we aren't really very tolerant.
Yep, Arnold Mill. When I go to the Newnan dog shows or Marrietta shows I stay with her.
So you are in NW Nevada? Did you see the pictures I posted sometime back of our trail ride in Bryce Canyon? It is beautiful there. I like Nevada, enjoyed my visit when we went in Sept 05. I went to Carson City once to when we visited Tahoe. Saw the Ponderosa.
Yeah, I think I read not too long ago that the Atlanta Metro Area was 100 miles across now. That's just TOO big!
When one city has , what, three area codes? That is to big. 404, 770, 678.
Problem is that Atlanta has no natural geographical boundaries on ANY side. That, and the demand for cellphones and multiple lines!
That is more than the whole state of Alabama!
No, I didn't see the pictures. When did you come out? Shoot, can't believe I missed that.

Her dog.

And JP:)

Pretty dog who found some water it looks like.
JP is just the cutest little scudder, just want to snatch him up and hug him. He looks like he probably has enough energy for three kids :)
We were there in Sept 05. I don't have the them at work I thought they were in Snapfish, I will have to send them again later.
Yes so far he seems to be fine in his stifle...I think they are going to sell him tho as a pleasure trail horse...the stress of barrels or roping MAY be to much for it to hold up, so the vet says anyway. She said he would be fine for a pleasure horse. Who ever started him did a fantastic job, he has a wonderful jog trot, and very nice slow lope that is incredibly smooth. He'd make a nice western pleasure horse too. Nice size too, not real big.

Great pictures :~) Glad that colt is healed... he looks like he'll be a good sturdy guy. Has she got Belle at her place too still? Or have I got the kids confused?
Oh, and yes JP has plenty of energy:) Thanks:)
Cocoa, ALWAYS finds water:)
Becky
Great, I'd love to see them, thanks.
He looks like he'd make a good western pleasure horse. Is he a bay?
I think that was back before you really started posting on FR all that much. I think you e-mailed them to me and I posted them. I went and looked in my Snapfish but I couldn't find them. I either deleted them or I'm just not looking in the right album.
Belle....I sold her last fall. I did not want to keep her thru another winter, couldn't find a buyer that I felt comfortable selling her too given her problems, I didn't want someone to try and make her into a riding horse. It just would not work, and I didn't want her tortured, so I took her to the sell and sold her as a brood mare. I took a gamble but think it paid off, she did go to a reputable place to be a brood mare. There was a mix up with her paper work at the barn, so I had to talk to the owners of it, (which I didn't really want to do, for fear of what I would find out:), but I'm glad it worked out that way, because I found out she did go to a good place for now anyway.
I got the check for her thru the mail and the mix up was I got someone else's check who was selling a yearling...OMG, when I opened the envelope, I was sick..$36.00. I knew horses were down at the time, but I didn't think that much. More then the money I was worried she went somewhere where since she was so cheap she wouldn't be taken care of...About a week later I got a letter and another check that was a lot better, explaining what happened, and if I had any questions to call:). The letter was very funny, said something like, "We bet you had a heart attack when you opened that check"...I had to call them and tell them I did. When I explained tho that my concern was more about where she went for that amount then the amount itself, they told me that she went to a good place. So all's well that ends well.
