I'm glad that the dogs found their way home again, but at the same time I wonder about the responsibility of the owners like you do.

...The preacher looked at me and said how about if we just pray for the whole family.

LOL!

Maybe it's ok. Older dogs are hard to keep weight on sometimes and the puppy and female missing probably found homes too. When we moved about 6 houses down to our new house, for awhile Cindy would get out and dig her way into the back yard of the rent house. I think the owner ought to give Alison one of them though. Watch her caz she will probably go visiting:')

Are y'all still talking about the Standing On Your Horses thread or have you gone and peed in somebody else's Cheerios?

I'm glad to hear the dogs are no longer with you, because I know that extra mouths to feed and take care of are a burden, but like you I'm ambivalent about the fact that they went back to a careless owner. I felt the same way about the starved horse that showed up at my place a while back. His owner came to claim him but I sure hated to see him go back there. Hopefully she'll be more careful now with the dogs that are left.

I'll have to go check it out again.

On another subject, you're making some really good points over there on the Spiritual thread. I haven't finished reading it all the way through yet, but Eponainside seemed to be getting a little ticked about all the Christian talk. If you can keep it non-confrontational and under her radar, but still continue to site pertinent Bible passages, you might really do some good and make some people think about how their living and what they're doing doing with their lives. Hang in there!

It's been mighty entertaining though. I'm STILL not done reading it. I like what somebody said about some of them needing to pull the corn cob outta their butts. LOL! Jeez, take a pill folks!

yup, I've been enjoying Becky's comments. And you CAN make a difference in someone's life .. even if it isn't the one you're debating with.

that's what happened after regalcharm and I had our little debate over the bible. He began to pm me, and then Mulesarecool, and before you know it, he had bought a bible, read romans, and gave his life to Christ! Now he's out there posting scripture ..hehehehe

You never know where the Lord will use what you are saying...

Beaker.... what is you who said a relative has to use glaucoma drops? If not... Anyone remember?

Just asking because I'd like a human report of what they feel like. Cartman is NOT appreciating or cooperating with the drops in his eyes, and I'm curious about whether he's just responding to the idea of it, or if they actually feel hot/cold/painful or even numbing when they go in.

Thanks guys:)

Texasgal...that is great, When in those kind of debates, I always try to remember others are reading besides those that you are posting too. I like that on the different forum title pages, you can see how many have clicked on the thread. They may not post, but at least there is a good chance they read the thread:)

That epona....lady, I don't know if it was me or her, we just did not seem to be able to communicate...I couldn't figure out if she just can't read:), or could and was deliberatly twisting my posts or if my posts really did come across judgemental and aggressive. I finally decided it would be better to end it with her, rather then get in an ugly war of words with her.

It was me who said that one of my aunts was using the glaucoma drops. I'll have to ask her if they are uncomfortable at all to use.

It may just be that he doesn't like the actual drops themselves going into his eyes. Heck, I don't either. When I was having to put a lot of drops in Teddy's eyes I used to pull his lower eyelid down so that it kinda made a little pouch and let the drops fall into that, rather than letting them hit his eyeball. You may already be doing this and he doesn't like it anyways, but I just thought I'd throw that in.

What I didn't care for, was the fact, that they just keep them in a kennel. That's ok, if you take them out and work with them. That is why, I think they took off, no time to run. Those pups had fits when we put collars on them and they were not leash trainer. At 6-7 months old, they should have at least known that. One thing, that was great, is that they never messed in the garage. When one of the children asked the mother,if they could bring them in the house, I told them, the dogs seemed house broke. I doubt that she let them. Too bad, they were really sweet dogs. She said she was going to have the older dog neutered and keeping the two female pups. Oh well, can't save the world.

It was so nice today! Almost 60. I had the truck washed, went to TSC for bedding and stripped stalls. Bodie went out for a bit, while I cleaned his stall and then I let the mares out. Jody is in heat and I really didn't want to deal with her and Bodie together.

When Alison gets home, we are going to go for a walk in the woods with the dogs. We had been doing that with the Goldens and to make her feel better, I told her we could go today.
