Rough, coming back.
I saved this one til last. Despite the smudge it is still one of my favorites. It was actually dark out side and another train was coming. Some passengers say they don't like a train horn. I find it soothing. They were both blowing. Kind of like they were calling to each other. Like horses do. Night.
Duchess, I've read about people trying that scam but have never actually seen it. What luck that you were alerted to it!
That's gotta feel creepy seeing your horse on a website that you had nothing to do with, under a different name and owner.
Good morning! We're off to see San Antonio today. Y'all have a good one!
cindy, I'm really enjoying your pictures. Do you have more? What is the Texas ghost town you went through, the one with the active Baptist church?
It is between Del Rio and Sanderson.
Cindydawg, thanks for the pictures. What a nice interesting trip you had. A train trip would be a lot of fun, despite the cramped conditions. Lots of Country to see out there.
We are going to pick up Bodie today. You all have a great weekend.
I can believe people would do something like this. What I can't believe is that someone would have bought a horse the way described, or that anyone would buy a horse site unseen from a stranger.. Gelding/color, 600 dollar show horse/1200 pd?
My school starts back next week so things should be settling down. I'm going to take a couple of day and tour that area.
We had an exciting night here. Had an armed robbery at the store next door, everyone fine, crooks got no money, already been arrested. All of this in the middle of a wind storm, we bugged out around midnight to sit in the truck for awhile. We lost the woodpecker tree in the wind last night Becky.
Heh - yeah - the funny thing about the whole thing is how badly worded the ad is, with obvious contradictions, and how underpriced he is! If you're gonna sell a fake horse, at least make some real money on it.
Take pictures of Bodie comin' home!
I'm going to see if I can find the name of the town. I love researching Texas ghost towns.
Good grief. Did ya'll get any sleep?
Not much - I think I slept from about 3 till about 6:30. :~)
Are you still having strong winds today?
I think the town was Langtry.

No - all's quiet now. It might pick up again tonight, they say, but at the moment it's rather nice out.
The yard is covered with branches again. This has really been a crappy winter for wind. I fear by spring my trees are just going to be naked straight trunks, if they're still standing :~\
Naked straight trunks can be a good thing. (sorry, I couldn't resist)....
