Well, my job IS stressful, but truthfully, the worst of the stress comes from the ivory tower bureacrats and not from the work itself. We have such unrealistic deadlines in many cases and are expected to get SO much done and they want it yesterday AND they want you to do it as efficiently as 4 people with the job duties distributed equally. It's all about the federal money, of course. If the numbers in the computer aren't making the state meet the standard, they come down on the ones they decide are responsible. There are a LOT of inequities,
For example, one of the things that frosts me to no end is when a case gets transferred to me, I know nothing about the poeple, so it's like starting from the beginning, the files are a mess, everything that is supposed to be entered in the computer is overdue, court hearings haven't been entered so I have to go back and try and track that down, and the frosting on the cake is that once a case is reassigned, it is MY name that shows up at the bottom of the screens so that if the case is pulled for bureaucratic review, I am the one held responsible for the delinquencies and the condition of the files and these are weighed in MY quarterly performance reviews. There is absolutely no provision for basing those judgments on the time frame after reassignment. THAT is the kind of crap that causes the major stress. Dealing with the people, however difficult they may be, is a piece of cake in comparison.

About 3-5 seconds. Just strong enough to be sure it was an actual 'quake.

Senator Hillary Clinton recently went to a primary school in Ithaca, New York, to talk about the world. After her talk she offers question time.
One little boy puts up his hand, & the Senator asks him what his name is.
"Kenneth."
"And what is your question, Kenneth?"
"I have three questions:
1 .. Whatever happened to your medical health care plan?
2 ... Why would you run for President after your husband shamed the office?
3 ... Whatever happened to all those things you took when you left the White House?
Just then the bell rings for recess. Hillary Clinton informs the kiddies that they will continue after recess.
When they resume Hillary says "OK! Where were we? Oh, that's right, question time. Who has a question?"
A different little boy puts his hand up. Hillary points him out & asks him what his name is.
"Johnnie."
"And what is your question, Johnnie?"
"I have 5 questions:
1 ... Whatever happened to your medical health care plan?
2 ... Why would you run for President after your husband shamed the office?
3 ... Whatever happened to all those things you took when you left the White House?
4 ... Why did the recess bell go off 20 minutes early?
5 ... What happened to Kenneth?"

Some of those pics were really great they should keep Devin there he sure livens up the show.
It seems they had a great day.
To: restornu
They had a good time, Resty, but I didn't go. They were on their way to Busch Gardens and had to turn back because of traffic and accidents on the road. So this was a place they stopped over here in Fort Myers for something to do. He loved it there last year and of course loving Dinosaurs, when he heard they were opening up a Dinosaur Park they had to go. It wasn't open to the public yet, but they let the three of them go in because I guess they felt bad for them, lol.
Poor Devin has a ruptured eardrum and infected eyes from a Virus he had a week or so before they left to come here. He's on antibiotic eye drops and pills and can't go near the water. If he gets water in that ear he would likely get Bacterial Meningitis. Ghod love him, he's such a good kid and never complains. He never even notice pain when his eardrum ruptured. He really stunned the Dr, because it's very painful.
Anyway..we are doing our best to keep him entertained and we are doing some movies today. It was supposed to be a big boating day, but we couldn't trust the thunderstorm reports.
Needless to say, it's sunny and beautiful out right now. Grrrrrrr... Oh well, Dy's making a big pot of spaghetti and meatballs. I just finished a Lemon Merange pie for her, and we'll have fun anyway. ;)
...and for us, there is always..caaaaaaaaaaaards, and waaaaaaaaaar. Right now I've won the most games, and are they mad! heh heh heh....

Yes..they did, and they got a movie in after that. They went and saw that new one, sort of a Fantasy type, but not really. Anyway it was wonderful and they loved it.
So all in all they had a good day.
Oh, and he had an extra treat yesterday too, he caught two Geckos out by the pool. Don't know how he did that...because they are sooo fast..lol.
Sort of like me......sighhhhhhhhh...

I am just testing this one grannie. let the music play for about 30 seconds and then right click with your mouse and select advance.
If the music stops right click and select reverse to the first page to pick up the music and then right click and select advance.
In reality it may be ok, but it my half tests I am having a bit of trouble.
Let me know what happens?

To: Cardhu
Yes even here it seems you have to advance then reverse and advance again to keep the music playing.
Very strange.
To: Cardhu
It doesn't work for me. If I open nothing, if I save it opens in Irfan and is only a pic. Say's wrong file ext. and can't fix it.
I saw a pic of fish..but that's it. :(

I have sent it by e-mail to you - we will see if Sundog can read it as I think he has Powerpoint and his family understand Spanish.
To: Cardhu
