Hehe, looks like Gramps had a little tantrum going on there. Either that or he loves to play 52 card pick-up.
That food looks yummy though.....I'm gonna be a chef in my next life. Every time I try out a new recipe, I get gagging, not applause. I just don't have the midas touch when it comes to food.
BTW, you're all invited for dinner next week. ;)

the sad part of the when I was tot those were the kind of dreams I would have after seeing Johnny Appleseed movies.

I had that dream offten it would start out it was dark outside and I sat on a toadstool and could not get off of it, than I it there was orange sparks flying in the sky like the fire crackers only these multiful sparks and at the same the earth swallowed up, sucking everything into it!

My parents never heard my dreams because my mother was a no nonesence kind, so I had to keep it to myself, and just lie in my bed until I fell asleep.

I was about 3 or 4.

Nice slide show gran. Love the houses by the canals - perhaps a little larceny would go down well there. The pic of the heron -- I assume it is a heron was really good.

Of course your table could so with someting under a couple of its legs to level it - but I suppose Al has that in hand.

The food looks very very good and knowing you it will taste delicious.

Would you like to see a pic of my four day old stew?

Gee Walleye, are you still snowed in? *chuckle*
I guess it finally happened.....heck really did freeze over!
:PpPpP
I've been thinking about going up to Mt. Hood in a couple of weeks, not to ski, just to pelt people with snowballs. Then I'll go hang out with the snooty people at Timberline lodge and make faces at them while they sip their tea. I've never been able to figure out why people like to ski. Self punishment?

About 120 miles east of Albuquerque, there's a tiny oasis known as the Blue Hole.

This spring-fed sinkhole, about 80 feet wide and just as deep, is frequented by divers eager to cool themselves from New Mexico's dry heat. According to rumor, a group of divers visited the Blue Hole "some time ago" and, upon surfacing, discovered that one of their group was missing. Six months later, the body of the missing diver appeared -- but not in New Mexico. It was discovered, the story goes, in Lake Michigan, which is more than a thousand miles away.

Wow, that must have been so traumatic for you, Resty.
Things that that sinkhole are just so creepy. Just a reminder that life is so uncertain. Anything can happen and it's a bit unsettling.
Note to self:
Think happy thoughts
think happy thoughts.....

Now that I think of it some little children are uncertain when you have to set on the toilet and your going to fall in and that flushing sound as the water being pull down.

That must have been how I translated it into the earthquate.

Funny how things are...

I hate the Oscars, too, Lady J. These people are so self absorbed and it's all about them. They're actors for cryin' out loud. Two year olds can do a great acting job.....so what?
I really have come to despise Hollywood and anything tied to it. Those people don't live in reality.

I'm amazed you can remember things from such a young age. I don't think I remember much before the age of 5 or 6. I was quite a tomboy.

Wanna come over and play superman? We can pin towels on our backs for capes and jump off the roof. Or make slingshots and hide behind telephone poles and pelt cars with rocks as they drive by. For me, dolls were meant for blowing up. I never had many of those though. Mom must have figured it out.

You two are making me laugh, with your childhood memories.

I must say that I can remember back as far as three years old. In fact I can still remember a neighbor friend from 3-4 years of age, and I still don't like her, lol. She was the kid that never shared any of her toys, but never gave you yours back.

I also was a tomboy, and lived cowboys and indians, and Tarzan. We had fallen trees for horses and a swamp with vines and plenty of trees for our Tarzan vine tricks.

I was never home, and always deep into the woods. Of course back then it was fairly safe in the deep woods. Although we did have one odd guy that always tried to catch us so he could show us his turtle.

Do you suppose that he reeeeally had a turtle, or was it more like a snake in a woodpile? ;)
