Great photographs Doggie; I found those places to be cozy, but then it all depends what you really need out of life.

I was in Hong Kong about three times in the early 50´s long before China took over. It was then the most populous area in the world. In fact thousands of folk lived in Sampan City – a city of Sampans covering more than a square mile, with ten or twelve people living on each small boat. I am sure they would have loved to have one of those apartments.

In those days when a ship arrived the Sampans would vie for the privilege of collecting the garbage from the boats. Mamasan, with her small sampan and crew of 10 or 12 young girls, would produce her credentials from other ship’s Captains going back many years, even to her mother’s time.

The Captain would select two or three Sampans to service the ship. They could have all the trash and garbage in exchange for her girls doing light chores in the forenoon until lunch time; then they could be around to collect all the food that would normally be thrown away. It was like having delightful, exotic birds of paradise on-board, always happy always smiling.

These young, very pretty girls, always perfectly clean, used to bring their large containers around the mess decks and collect anything that we would throw away or give them.

With all these sailors, no one ever made a pass at any of them, they were the most sweet but chaste young ladies. It was just understood by everyone, not to even try anything with Sampan girls we all treated them better than our sisters.

They all lived on the sampan, which was about 35 - 40ft long and 8ft wide, so they were used to close living.

I have a satellite dish with two LNBs and both analog and digital converters plus a Terestial Digital Converter as well as Terrestial Analog TV with about 800 programs and I don't pay for any of them.

I could have over a fifteen hundred channels if I wasn't so cheap, so I think I am covered for TV. I really don´t have much time to spare to watch more that three stations.

We have to ask Cardy if there is some way to direct link to the hosting site other than this way, because I notice if I click on the slideshow while I'm in there it asked if I want to save it my puter.

Is that a viable option, Cardy?

Those were amazing. I felt both sad that people had to live that way, but on the other hand maybe they are the lucky ones and are happy and love their freedom.

Very interesting Doggie, thanks a bunch.

Ten to doomsday, moving fast...
Heads up! Mind that blast
No time to sleep, it's Def.Con.One
Can't get no sleep as the ticking ticks on
No time for fear, it's Def.Con.One
No time to eat so get me some

[CHORUS]
Big Mac, fries to go...
Get me Big Mac, fries to go...
Get me Big Mac, fries to go...
Get me Big Mac, get me fries to go...
Watchman!
We love you all...
Hup! Hup! Heads up!
Ground floor coming up...

Vote Doctor Doom! (x2)

How sick is Dick?
How gone is Ron?
How sick is Dick?
How gone is Ron?
What's the time?
It's Def.Con.One...
Say, what's the time?
Just get me some

[CHORUS]
You know it makes sense
Vote Doctor Doom

[s]"You're travelling to another dimension
A dimension not only of sight and sound but of light
Your next stop...the Twilight Zone"

[CHORUS]

Def def def def con def con one (x2)

Goodbye city, hello moon
Hands up! Vote Dr. Doom!
"You know it makes sense"...
It's Def.Con.One
Hey! What's occurring? What goes on?
"It's the only choice..." - it's Def.Con.One
"It's the only choice..." - so get me some

[CHORUS]

To the left y'all, to the right y'all
To the left, to the right, to the left, to the right
(repeat to fade)

You can only cook on a hot plate? Now that explains a few things.

Are you restricted to a hot plate in your apartment or did you blow your stove up like Cardy would probably do if he used his, lol?

Thank you for the link to those recipes..I will print up a few of those for sure. I made the Hungarian Goulash for supper last night and it was a hit. Instead of noodles tonight, think I might use mashed posts.

Good grief nurse, are you trying to burst what brain I have left?

That song reminds me of the show 24. Nooooooooo...the show is much better than the song. It is a song I presume???

Sure locked my lips up...
