46 here, it says. I won’t run outside if it’s under 50, but I still need to have lunch, get the babies to bed, and plan my Sunday School lesson.
I should be real busy with work right now, but I thought I’d log on anyway.
Too cold for me!
I just bundle up. I even keep a pair of coveralls and a blanket in my car just in case since I have to travel so much.
*shudder*
I have to get back to work. See you later!
It's been colder. I didn't enjoy it then either...
C’mon DOWN!
I’ll warm ya up!
*snort*
:oÞ
Hehhe.... Not sure if we have any contracts coming up in your neck of the woods, but I’ll give you a shout should the occasion arise...
Kewl! In the meantime, thing warm thoughts!
Wow. Slow day today.
How can you say that? I thought you were busy? And I did my share by lurking a lot. (I have a toothache.)
Slow on the thread, not at work. THAT was intense.
Going into last week's meetings we were set to possibly vote out up to 13 additions to a standard for public review; by the end we had 9 to try for, but for various reasons including limited time we didn't finish all the work. So folks were editing, getting signatures of agreement -- let's just say there was a lot of post-meeting work, to be followed by e-mail ballots of the voting members and then submission of "publication packages" to the society office.
All this is with relatively short deadlines -- a ballot launched Friday will close with just enough time to finish the packages two weeks hence. I could deal with this fairly easily, if it were just me. But I'm going to be away in India and very busy, so any ballots launched after last Monday (I launched three) will have to be handled by my vice chair, and he's just a bit nervous about all this. (I don't really blame him -- doing just one for the first time is daunting enough.)
I had to sprint to get things done, before I get pulled away for other things such as the upcoming trip, as well as a document to track the progress of the ballots, from preparation through conclusion. But I finished this afternoon and sent him the materials to launch several ballots. One or two of the other documents may not make it in time.
It's been a bit of stress up until now, but now I can relax.
Happy news this afternoon. Our priest and his wife had a baby girl today.
Hey I’ve been busy too.
I, uh, stopped at the MVA for a while today.
.
And uh ...
.
I guess that’s about it.
WOO-HOO!!
We love babies!
Makes me jealous... I think.
Uh..yah...anybody know what time The Game starts Sunday?
Interestingly, these two couples have had children at just about the same time, complementary genders. (I think the one coming will be a boy.) The oldest two became instant friends when they met a year or so ago at age 3.
Probably before we're home from church.
