That beats using a shoe. (Maxwell Smart)
Nothing at all.
As long as we are all Hugh, instead of Locutus, I'm good with that. Being a human/machine hybrid could have some rather drastic advantages without necessarily giving up your humanity or individualism.
Despite the erotic adventure carrier wave, that is the pretext of my fourth book, "Reaction!"
Once androids are advanced enough to simulate humans, and nanotechnology is developed to the point of cellular repair or assembly, nothing is impossible.
Another point of my book is that this is a mixed blessing.
I love the sound of those three words used in that sequence.
Just before I get pounded on by folks who think I'm being disrespectful or irreligious, I should explain that I meant that in the sense of nothing is impossible to the imagination.
Time travel still would have its quirky little obstinacy. The truly deceased would still be truly gone.
Surviving death requires careful and fastidious preparation, no matter how one thinks about it.
If "death by misadventure" was the only way left for a person to die, I think it would be a very fine thing... Especially if we we not limited to the Third Rock from Sol...
Still might need preparation.
Later.

(When I put in your name for the preview, I got a red message: Could not find anybody named 'nicknakedbob'. Perhaps we should be grateful?)
She can assimilate me anytime.

LOL!
We tend to discourage double posting. Once upon a time, we were pretty close to hitting the End Of The Internet, and one poster (who has subsequently been banned) spammed the thread, trying to rack up the numbers. That resulted in us being pulled. We begged. We pleaded. We cajoled. And after a couple of hours, we were reinstated.
We used to like to hit the 00s, the 000s and the 0000s, but we've backed away from that a little. Once a while, someone will swoop in and grab a 000 post without ever posting before that, or they will post once, and then come in for the kill.
That takes the fun out of making a mini-celebration out of posting the 000s. Of course, there is always Dead Corpse and his 666...;o]
Me too! ;)
How are you? Wednesday is having her Unpleasantness with the vet this afternoon, and then maybe she'll learn to love us.
She has several minor health issues, but some shots and weight loss will get her fit for another ten years. The former owner did not give her the care she needed, so I really feel like we've rescued a cat even though she came from a home.
Eh... I'm not around as much as I used to be. I feel pretty good about things if I can post here at least once a day, much less hit any particular number...
Not bad for a movie studio!! :-P
