Who will be the next ethnic victims of this monster of cinema?
The Finns, the Inuit, or the Tierra Del Fuegans?
Can No one stop this cultural cinemacide?

:~)

You live, I'd suppose by your handle, in a warm, sunny, beach-type climate. Exactly the kind of place I like, on ocasssion, to mix lime juice with my beer. But they banned that kind of beer on those man-law commericals.

What would they say to my mixing bloody mary mix and beer? Just the thing when I have a headache and need a drink.

If I were Gibson, I'd write a Mayan apology on my butt cheeks and show it whenever the issue came up.

Historical Review: Megadrought And Megadeath In 16th Century Mexico (Hemorrhagic Fever)

"The epidemic of cocoliztli from1545 to 1548 killed an estimated 5 million to 15 million people, or up to 80% of the native population of Mexico (Figure 1). In absolute and relative terms the 1545 epidemic was one of the worst demographic catastrophes in human history, approaching even the Black Death of bubonic plague, which killed approximately 25 million in western Europe from 1347 to 1351 or about 50% of the regional population."

"The cocoliztli epidemic from 1576 to 1578 cocoliztli epidemic killed an additional 2 to 2.5 million people, or about 50% of the remaining native population."

Official Apocalyto website with trailer.

Looks good. Bones through their noses, lots of tattoos, spear chucking, sacrifice, jaguars, jungle temples, cut throats. I'm there, Mel.

Mayans were savages, like most other inhabitants of pre-Columbian America.

"Mayans were savages, like most other inhabitants of pre-Columbian America."

All the killing was about protein. They ate the victims because there weren't any large animals to provide the needed protein.

Cave men tend to be snooty. It's accurate.

Nawwwwww, playing 'hockey' with heads cut off of captives, that was SO civilized. Cutting out human hearts, eating gizzards --- almost as civilized as the still-living-on-earth 7th century Muzzies are today.

"... was one of the worst demographic catastrophes in human history..."

And George Bush did nothing to prevent it. Totally heartless!

Some time ago, I spent several weeks in the Yucatán jungles visiting Mayan ruins. To say the ancient Maya were bloodthirsty is an understatement! They were little better than the Aztecs and had very similar beliefs about sacrifice.

The people in that region are very angry at the Spanish and colonization, much more than in most parts of Mexico. It definitely colors their thinking.

The Mayan's WERE savages. They loved human sacrifice, especially children.

Vikings could be savages, too, but I'm not offended by that fact. People need to get a life.
