I agree.
I don't think St. Martin really has many evening classes.
If eventually I decided to go for a four year degree and really switch job paths, I suppose I could potentially look for another job, part time, and go to St. Martin's...though I dunno how pricey they are or if they offer anything I'd really like to study.
It may be that a class or two will make me realize I'm OK with what I've been doing. Though, really, right now I'm *not* doing PC support, for the most part. Which is what I really like. On the downside, it does seem like there aren't as many straight PC support positions anymore, and the ones there are are paid maybe one step above fast food workers. I'm not sure that's going to change for the better. Computers are easier to use now and most folks aren't scared of 'em anymore.
I didn't use a mnemonic for that... I found that 'Idplmal' made a perfectly memorable word. :)
RATS.
But IMDB also lists Wayne Palmer's last episode as 4-5 pm (last night), but Audrey shows up at 10:00 p.m.
So, there's that.
St. Martins is very expensive. Has some prestige, but expensive :~)
I think if you want to take some classes that interest you at SPSCC, it'd tell you whether you really want to go back to school. Heh... there may even be some teachers there I still recognize. And Community Colleges have a big 'back to school' adult population, it's not all kids, it's a mix. SPS does have a good nursing program I think, if that would be interesting to you.
If you really decided you wanted to get a 4 year degree, there's extension campuses for both WSU and UW in Dupont and Tacoma you could look into that would be a lot more affordable than St. Martins... Just depends on the degree programs they're offering at the extensions. I took some classes at Dupont for electives one summer that were actually part of their Law and Justice program. That was fun.... a lot of guys that want to be cops in a Law class.
I think they're making it up as they go along. :~) Last night I thought President Handbag looked a little like Al Gore his first year after the defeat. Or moldy Theoden... Or Billy Joel... I dunno. I think they're making it up as they go along. :~) We're just along for the ride!
Morning!

Should I plant some corn just to fool the squirrelz?
Oh. Hooray.
Yeah, I figgered. And I'm not sure they really have all *that* many majors offered.
Nursing type stuff is tempting, because no matter how much I'm around it, medical related things fascinate me. It's the one benefit to my current job. On the other hand, I don't think I have the people skillz to really be a nurse or medical assistant.
There's lab work, I guess. But it's not as interesting as the patient side of things. For better or worse, people are fascinating. And frustrating. And a lot of other things besides. But not dull, anyway.
But a few classes in just *anything* should tell me if I'm at all ready or willing to make a go of something more in-depth, I suppose.
Heh...the one site I found had "I don't punch like Mohammed ALi."
On the other hand, if I go to UT, I can work on the master's ...
On the third hand, I think my contract is gonna go very long-term --- as in, 30+ hours a week at least through the summer and possibly into the fall, if my customer wants the E-Commerce Site of the Gods, and I think he does. At the end of this, I will have learned lots and lots of Web and SQL Server and Crystal Reports and ASP and (maybe) XML stuff. Don't know if I want to try both school and this (nearly) full-time job.
Well, nothing like throwing yourself in the ring for forcing you to learn how to box! :~)
But...I don't punch like Mohammed Ali...
Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee...
And so we come full circle :~)
