Funny, I never saw those 2 families smoking! (Maybe sometimes Fred got a cigar from Mr. Slate, but...)
* Still hasn't forgiven Michael J. Fox for "Teen Wolf."
* Newly installed keg of Nair in men's room.
* His Wolfman Jack impression is eerily authentic.
* Five o'clock shadow appears around 8:30 am.
* Only *guy* you know who circles several days a month in red on his desk calendar.
* Says, "Great job on the Hanrahan account!" and then humps your leg.
* Domino's guy asks, "who ordered the large Cheese and Raw Beef Special?"
* Adamantly refuses to drink Coors Light.
* In lieu of annual bonus, prefers a good scratching behind the ears.
* Suddenly sports a beard when mooned at office holiday party.
* Water cooler conversations always end with talk of "kickin' Ol' Yellar's ass."
* "Severance pay" has taken on a whole new meaning lately..
* Vending machine always out of Milk Bones.
* Your sarcastic little "Bite me!" nets you 12 stitches.
* Always calls in sick with "mange."
* Coughs up a hairball during morning staff meeting.

All you have to do is watch what's on "real" TV. It's all the same thing - disgusting, vulgar, obnoxious.
I appreciate some of the humor and even some of the themes of these shows, but overall they're "ugly" enough that I can easily "leave" them (as opposed to "take it"), which I do unless "forced" to watch!

--Josie and the Pussycats was created by the late Dan DeCarlo, who met his wife Josephine during WW II. (He used to say that he landed on the roof of her house but that may be just a story.) He created a comic book called "She's Josie" which later led to Josie and the Pussycats. A friend of mine has a tribute site:
DeCarlo was guest of honor at the "furry" convention Anthrocon shortly before his death (a furry--I'm one-- is a fan of anthropomorphized cartoon animals). At one point in the dealer's room (where you can buy T-shirts, comic books, etc.), Dan and Josie were sitting at their table and a woman, Lisa Jennings,dressed as Josie the character, showed up and danced around as the "Josie" theme song was played--kind of a surprise tribute. The conventioneers were charmed by Dan and his wife. Several Anthrocon staffers attended Dan's funeral later, and Josie was invited to return to the convention in future years as their honored guest.
