"I do not feel our show is to blame for what happened to Melinda Duckett," Grace said on the air Monday.News reporters and editors and hosts are always talking about "making a difference in people's lives. But when things like this, the Jenny Jones thing, and the NYT revealing military secrets to our enemies, suddenly they're of no significance at all, and they can't figure out where people got the idea that their little newspapers and TV shows could possibly contribute to the deaths of emotionally-stressed people or soldiers on the front lines.
To: Babu
I doubt that Grace was the cause of the suicide, but she does consistently impress me as a loathsome person.

She's a talk show host and no longer a prosecutor so to her and CNN ratings mean more than a woman's life and a child being found.

Grace also noted that "Melinda committed suicide before that interview ever aired." It's possible that Melinda deduced the fact that the interview would air.

The boy's father, Joshua Duckett, said he did not blame Grace for Melinda's suicide. He was estranged from his wife, who had custody of Trenton.
"Nobody made her do the show," he said. "Nobody made her do anything."
Atleast this is a responsible statement however it is a very sad situation.

Grace also noted that "Melinda committed suicide before that interview ever aired."Uh, yeah, lady, but it was AFTER your grilling.
Mike Wallace-style grilling of folsk not used to the spotlight is fun for ratings-starved newsworms, but some people aren't used to that kind of thing. That never occured to you, lady?
To: Babu
Grace, who has helped publicize the cases of Natalee Holloway, JonBenet Ramsey and other youthful crime victimsShe really has a sterling record of helping to recover kids alive and of helping bring the culprits to justice.

CNN ratings mean more than a woman's life and a child being found.
And what makes you think that was different when she was a prosecutor?

"I do not feel our show is to blame for what happened to Melinda Duckett," Grace said on the air Monday. Nancy, rest assured that the dead woman's estate will arrange for this question to be put to a civil court jury.

Nancy is anything but a loathesome person.
Do a little research to find out why she's so passionate about her cause first.
To: JamesP81
No reason to think that but she's not a prosecutor anymore, she's just another creepy talk show host now. I can believe John Walsh because he's personally involved but when has Grace had her child missing?

Grace also noted that "Melinda committed suicide before that interview ever aired."Nancy Grace, lawyer, this has nothing to do with the possibility you drove this woman over the edge.
Even though Nancy Grace is stating this stupid comment to make herself feel better, I don't think she should be held accountable.

I find Nancy Grace and her show to be disgusting and and moronic. I watched it once and quickly decided that she's a nitwit.
And this is not her first episode of stupidity.
