I have no plans to start a ping list.
My interest in this will slide as time goes by and that is why I don't do ping lists. Sorry :-(

As interesting as this story is, I don't have time to keep up with the developments and post them every day. Sorry....

If he was obsessed with JBR's or the Ramsey's world, how did he come to know about it (the Ramsey's world) in the first place? That's something I'm eager to understand. Where does his connection with the Ramseys come from? And more specific, did his obsession come by way of images of JBR spread throughout the internet? When I see the images of her prancing around like a Vegas show girl, it makes me sick to think her parents dressed her up like that...could that have been what caught the attention of a sicko like JMK?

"Otherwise, you are talking about a random act and Karr does not talk about this as a random act."
I don't claim to know anything much about either this particular case or the M.O. of such scumbags in general, but isn't it possible that Karr developed his real obsession and "love" (gag) after the murder and not before? Perhaps it was originally a "crime of opportunity" for a pedophile who happened to be in her neighborhood or at her family's holiday party, heard about her and her parents, etc. and then later he became ever more obsessed as he dwelled upon the press coverage etc.
I don't begin to know whether that scenario could account for how he was in Boulder (if he was), how he came to be near the Ramseys (if he ever was), how he came to write the "ransom" note (if he did), etc. I'm just wondering whether he might have done the dastardly deed first and developed the full-blown obsession afterwards? [but I will yield to everyone whose knowledge of the details of this case is greater than mine, which probably means everyone on this thread]

If he's not the guy, the obsession probably just came about from all the publicity around the case.
If he is the guy, it's possible that he became aware of them when they lived in near him in Georgia, or through the pageant circuit. Child molesters are known to participate in activities dealing with kids. Since his preference seems to be little girls, pageants would be a likely place to entertain that fetish. He also could have ties to them through tutoring. This is a big gap the prosecution will have to fill if this guy is going to be convicted. If they can't, then he's probably not the guy.

BOULDER, Colo. - Prosecutors abruptly dropped their case Monday against John Mark Karr in the slaying of JonBenet Ramsey, saying DNA tests failed to put him at the crime scene despite his insistence he sexually assaulted and strangled the 6-year-old beauty queen.
Just a week and a half after Karr's arrest in Thailand was seen as a remarkable break in the sensational, decade-old case, prosecutors suggested in court papers that he was just a man with a twisted fascination with JonBenet who confessed to a crime he didn't commit.
"The people would not be able to establish that Mr. Karr committed this crime despite his repeated insistence that he did," District Attorney Mary Lacy said in court papers.
