What's crazy is he probably won on his own. But if the tests are true, he lost because he lost confidence in himself.

Sports Illustrated had an excellent article before the drug scandal broke. Cadel Evans was riding with Landis during the breakaway and said that Landis just rode away from the rest like they were tied to a post. He said he had never seen anything like it in the 10 years he has been in the Tour. It was like 3-4 mph and no one was even close to him. That's not natural.
I rooted for Landis like most Americans. But I can't abide a cheat.

Well that article seems ridiculous. The stuff they're testing him for does not produce that type of reaction.

They are testing "isotopes" which evidently differ from the real and synthetic stuff. This is new technology.

What I'm saying is, the drug Landis tested positive for does not produce a quick reaction like the SI article stated.

LOL! But actually, the Mennonites do drive cars. The Amish are the buggy people.

Not that I am an expert or anything, but I do have some experience with this subject. It all depends on the ESTER of testosterone that was used. Most users like the longer duration esters (decanoate) that last for many weeks in the body. Those dont have a significant immediate effect. There ARE short duration testosterones that might have a quicker effect. Then there are testosterone ester blends, which combined different ones that give a quick boost plus a long duration effect as well.
All I will say is the experience I've had with monitoring some folks taking this stuff, is that there was no immediate effect. But who knows, maybe they have some super duper quick acting stuff these days

Well, it could be a placebo effect in which case it would be doubly tragic.
