I knew it had been discussed before, and the information was released some time ago. We discussed it here. My point had more to do with the election than it did the evidence or the nature of the evidence. Why is somebody at the Herald-Sun rehashing it with spin from pro-prosecution attorneys? Nodong can't talk about the evidence - he's been roundly roasted for that - so he and his collaborates are using their proxies to get their spin out there that this isn't a witch hunt but a viable case in order to help Nodong in the November election by rehashing known information. My question about leaks had to do with why do these pro-prosecution attorneys have access to the information?

Is Nodong considering appointing one or both of these law professors as special prosecutors in order to get the monkey off his own back for election purposes as well as trying to give the appearance of being fair and impartial (also for election purposes)? Is that why he admits in the article that he's made some mistakes? Is he setting this up for an appointment of a special prosecutor who will be equally biased against the boys?

Yep. I've noticed that certain members of the media have incredible resentments against the lacrosse players. They can't contain themselves. I keep hearing words like "wealthy", "preppy", "elite" etc. They've been harping on it from day one. The article that topped them all was "Wolves in Blazers and Khakis". I think it boils down to jealousy.

The towel is also worthless because it is not connected to Mangum. Her DNA is not to be found on it.

Isn't Durham County adding a additional judge to the bench, to be appointed by Easley?

I think they grabbed onto it because they really thought this case would be the smoking gun of white-on-black crime, which, let's face it, is a rarity in our society. All the race whores needed it. Rich, white boys rape poor, black girl struggling to feed her kids and get an education. If they were to hit the jackpot on this one, the sky would be the limit. No white man would ever be safe around a black woman again - ceaseless headlines and lawsuits. As for the media, it makes for great headlines - sex, race, conflict - in a context that suits their own leftist agenda of "get whitey." One of the law professors is hustling the case for the NAACP and the other is on the law school faculty at Nodong's alma mater, NCU-Chapel Hill. That's the one that I find suspicious, more so than Joyner at NCCU who's hustling for his own academic agenda and the NAACP. The Chapel Hill guy, whom Nodong undoubtedly knows, just shows up out of the blue as an "opinion source" that just happens to help Nodong?

Well I know they didn't allow that in the spring. Whether they'll allow it in the fall? I don't know. They'd have to attend class and it would be hard to do that quietly. Some blabbermouth faculty/student would be sure to make an issue out of it.

"There is no amount of money that can repair what happened years ago and compensate for the loss of lives and the loss of property," said vice chairman Irving Joyner, a professor at N.C. Central School of Law.

So why are you asking for money then?

I agree. It's one thing to gather that information for his own knowledge, but to then approach them with it and let them know he knows is very intimidating and, as expected, totally classless. A simple memo stating that his other obligations prevent him from giving the committee work the full effort he had hoped to contribute prompts him to designate one of his assistants to take his committee seat, with committee approval would have been appropriate and showed some class and finesse.

Maybe Duke is letting them do coursework online or at another school close to where they live. There's no way they can attend class at Duke without attracting tons of attention which is really sad. In fact, that is probably true at any school they might attend in the future.

At this point, I wonder if Collin and Reade want to go back to Duke. I think Reade might but I'm not sure about Collin. Obviously I'm just guessing though.

I think it's only Dave's semen that was found on the towel. The other DNA found was in a different form, and belongs to another player, most likely one of the other two who live in the house.

The fact that Gottlieb is being allowed to weasel out of the sports bar case may signal that the black race hustlers of Durham are having their cake and eating it too. They need Gottlieb to appear pristine because of his work in the Duke case and the need for his testimony, but they still want to go to the mats over the sports bar case. By letting the police remove Gottlieb from the Sports bar case, they can have it both ways. The only ones who would want to complain about that arrangement are the guys taking the heat for Gottlieb, and neither the blacks nor the cops care about them.

And if it is a County Board, how does he get to choose who to represent and who not to represent. Is Nifong playing to the animal rights crowd? My mind boggles as to how Nifong views the world. He is one scary dude.

I guess they could enroll someplace close to home if Duke would allow them to transfer the credits. If this trial doesn't finish until spring then that would have to be an entire year and I can't see Duke doing that. I hope that they are making some accommodation. However, Brodhead seems to be doing a Pontius Pilate imitation by pretending it's not for him to decide and if someone else wants to crucify a couple of students it's not really his business.

I saw her, too. Victoria Peterson, goes by "Tory" or "Cory", hands-down one of the loudest mouthed race whores I've ever seen.

They not only are allowed to roam about, they are allowed to vote.

They might want to transfer out of Duke anyway. If one of them were my brother part of me would want him to go back but another part of me wouldn't want him within a 100 mile radius of Durham.
