I knew you'd like that!
By putting the Bolshevik Chicks on PBS as if they were a mainstream American act will definitely hurt PBS's credibility. I will definitely not contribute to PBS anymore.
"If we don't do it, who will...?
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
The only good shows on PBS are "This Old House" and it's spin-offs.
Norm Abram is my hero.
Absolutely. Wal-Mart, Target, and Amazon.com cut the price in half 10 days after release because they couldn't unload it. The rich liberals that bought all these CDs are probably giving them away at fundraisers for a $5.00 donation to the DNC.
San Francisco put them on the radio. Their comeback is in full swing! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
What station?
Oops, LA not San Francisco. The station is 89.9 KCRW, which is "National Public Radio's Southern California flagship station". Link here: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1659480/posts
Oh, an NPR station. An NPR "Flagship Station", no less. I'm so impressed!
No doubt. It's kind of like saying, "We're the best $3.00 buffet in town!!"
Or is NPR trying to bring the Chix music to the attention of it's liberal (usual) listeners? What good will it do NPR to expose liberals to country music? What if they end up liking it and start listening to the likes of Hank Jr and friends?
Or is it just about money for NPR? Are the Chix getting special treatment because they've made the requisite sufficient donation to NPR?
Maybe crossing over ain't easy without the help of the segment of the music industry you're crossing over from...
