:( I was hoping that Trinidad would tie England. And Hislop would save tons of goals and make the game 0-0. (Hislop was my fantasy team captain) :) Oh, well. Still a really good game on Trinidad's part.

Boy was I happy to see Gerrard put that in. He had such an anonymous performance today, but boy, that goal was vintage Gerrard.

It looked like England were skipping rope out there - they had to avoid all the sliding tackles by T&T. 2-0 is nice but no major injuries is nicer.

Eh? I thought Terry was the man today...Beckham wasted huge amounts of possesions before the cross for the goal. Good thought it was.

I really liked Lennon after he came in. My man of the match.

Oh man I can't wait to see if Germany and England will end up playing each other. Oh please let it happen.

How about T&T, though -- went over 170 minutes without allowing a goal.
They didn't win but they scared the Poms sh*tless.
To: everydayislikesunday
2-0 was harsh on T&T. Poor old Stern deserved that one...(offside though)
Well, let's say it like this: England gave all they had, they fought hard to the last minute and deservedly beat an opponent whose players play in such illustrious leagues like the German Regionalliga or the soccer league of Trinidad and Tobago that now features a stunning total of ten teams.
Congratulations on stealing a baby's lollipop and escaping,..... well, barely ;-).

And seeing Rooney back was the best news of all. He looked good, albeit a little off his usual best.
Lennon looked fantastic....my Leeds supporting friend told me about this lad a few years back - he's more exciting than Walcott I feel.

T&T need a 0-0 draw between Sweden and Paraguay, then they could still pull it off.

The better team won today, as it should be.
Yup, your gonna get Germany vs England. Oh boy, that should be a hoot.

Germany will want to finish first and avoid England. Under those circumstances I think they'll be motivated enough to beat Ecuador.
Ecuador certainly has a great chance to at least draw though. Should be a good match.
To: You Dirty Rats
They played an very diciplined defensive game with many players behind the ball, yet looked somewhat dangerous on the counter attack.
Well done T&T.

T&T's performance helps the US in the long run, in that it legitimizes CONCACAF having four teams in the tournament.
