If Taylor had sung "Georgia" instead of Levon, I would be sound asleep now. He would have won without a doubt. I'm wondering why he didn't sing it. Maybe they were limited to songs they had already peformed during the competition.

Well, after tomorrow night I'm finally going to be able to get some things done on weeknights.
With "24" and "idol" being over...the yard work can finally get done! LOL
But I can't wait until next year when Jack get the Chi-coms and blue tooths! And MAYBE we'll even get a ROCKER to win Idol next year!

The songs were sappy. I think Taylor was kind of embarassed at first. It sounds like the song is asking for praise. But, I think he worked it so that it didn't come off that way so much as you got further into it.

I'm wondering why he didn't sing it. Maybe they were limited to songs they had already performed during the competition. They were asked to perform their favorite/best song of those they had done previously on the show.
So we had Kath on Rainbow and Taylor with Levon.

I noticed something tonight with Taylor that I hadn't noted before. When he is singing and he can feel that the audience isn't quite thrilled with it...like the last song, his eyes start twinkling and he revs it up a bunch. I noticed that on both slow songs tonight. It was kind of like making a statement, that "hey, this song might now be the best but we'll shine it up for ya!"

Hi Netizen. Hey, cool. Those are great numbers for our guy. Let's hope that's how it hold up tomorrow night. If I knew how to type a crossing fingrs symbol on my keyboard, I'd do it. :)

I don't care so much about the Bush remark anymore. I am a Bush fan and I am used to it. What bothers me is that they won't shut the he11 up about it. Make your music and MOVE ON. They want everyone else to move on, but it seems they have nothing else to talk about. Even naming their tour as they did seems like they have nothing else to say. If this album is just a retread of their "controversy," why buy it? We've heard that song before...
Amen! We need to recruit this KMCB as a Freeper, if he/she isn't already :) That was an excellent comment.

I actually wanted a Chris/Mandisa finale. I also thought they were the two "best", but there is something about Taylor that rings so true to me. Plus I like rough voices (Rod Stewart, Johnnie Cash, Tom Waits, Joe Cocker, etc) so I am pulling (and voting for him. As to: Chris -- I believe people though he was a shoe in and voted for others to "keep them in"
Mandissa -- Beautiful voice, but not an idol. Sorry.

Now I understand better why some young girls become anorexic when someone who looks like Kelly is considered fat. Amazing. I don't understand it. 50 years ago women were TRYING to look like Kelly and McPhee. Now they're told that they should look like twigs.
Sick.

Still nothing but busy signals here.
Local radio show this morning had a big whoo-hoo thing with call-ins for votes. It was all Taylor.

The groups standing right by the stage were told to wave their hands back and forth during slow songs. Ah-hah.

Now they're told that they should look like twigs. It's absolutely crazy. You know, I'd think most men wouldn't want to take one of those anorexic types to bed. I imagine all those bones would be very uncomfortable in the clutch. And for most women -- well normal ones anyway -- being all soft, curvy and warm for their guys is very important.
