You're welcome.I like that song too.

Yep. The girl has really let herself go :)Yeah, really. Now I understand better why some young girls become anorexic when someone who looks like Kelly is considered fat. Amazing.

The groups standing right by the stage were told to wave their hands back and forth during slow songs.

Simon clarified that one during an interview. He said that he meant her "personality" not her singing.Oh. Never heard that clarification before. Thanks.

Hope you had a good time - I'm sure you did! The hand-waving thing looked cheesy on TV.

Yes, that is what he said. He said that she reminded him a lot of last year's winner, but with more personality.
That just made me go "grrrrrr" when he said that, because I thought that Carrie was so sweet and a shy last year. And what a voice! She is such a natural talent! Last year I felt really vested in the winners--I voted for both Bo and Carrie. This year--not so much. Once Chris left, I was like "whatever". Though I did vote for Kat.

I am really going to miss Idol now. This is the first season I have ever watched it. My family became addicted. This was the first time in a very long time that there is a show on television that I could look forward to watching with my whole family without fear of what subject they would cover or sex scene they would toss in. Family television what a concept!
With the success of Idol you would think that the networks would pick up on that. Of course not.

(Taylor--he sings, writes his own songs, plays instruments, has charisma, and he's the whole package.)
To: Wolfstar
"Never heard that clarification before. Thanks."
Simon's original quote was "I think I like you better than the last winner." Notice it's not specific toward anything. It could be relating to looks, singing, persona or a combo of all...but it's pretty "open."
Now...he could have been in CYA mode when he made the clarification but I'll give the old chap the benefit of the doubt. He IS usually right. And he picked Taylor for the win tonight.

They are - he was on Tucker Carlson's show.
To: EmilyGeiger
better, but i didn't really like the song. Sorta syrupy. Both were heavy on the syrup. If McPhee had sang (sung?) Taylor's song it would've sounded just as terrible.
Taylor managed to take some of the schlock out of his tune and, IMO, made it moving at the end. I hope he sings it again tomorrow night as the confetti rains down on him :)
