I hear it is a rock ballad, written for a male voice. Interesting...I wonder for whom they were crafting that song? (/sarcasm) Too bad their rock guy got the boot. Now they are left with two voices that don't fit their cheesy rock ballad.
I don't blame Taylor for pitching a fit. He has worked his butt off to get where he is. For them to force him to sing a song that he knows is completely outside of his "element" for the FINALE is really unfair. I wish he could sing "Georgia." I hope he does "Levon" and "Something" for his other two choices.

That's like asking Celine Deion to sing Zeppelin. She "sang" AC DC once. One of the scariest things I ever saw.

That's sad. She's beautiful, no matter what her "size" is. Fact is, she is average...not many women meet the hollywood "stick" requirement. This is why all the stars get eating disorders. I hope she keeps her mind about her and doesn't fall into the hollywierd trap.

They wrote two different songs for Clay and Reuben. Two different styles. Why not do that here? Neither one should be required to sing a song out of their style as it won't be representative of who they are.

Bingo. I thought the Bo/Carrie song was ridiculous. POORLY written song, not good for either of them IMO.

Now they are left with two voices that don't fit their cheesy rock ballad. If that's the case, then they have had a couple of weeks so far to adapt that song.

I think it's sad too. It's probably why she initially wore maternity looking clothes on AI. Maybe she felt like she was hiding flab or something.
I just read an article about this this morning and can't remember if it was posted on AI, or Mrdaughtry.com. Anyhow, it was kind of sad. She was quoted saying that she was flabby, and had no muscle. I don't think she looks flabby! She also said that she would get complements, and encouragement during auditions, but her body type always got commented on. I feel bad for her on that aspect. I don't care for her singing, but that's just my personal preference. She is, however, a beautiful girl.

I Thank You- Gray/Lachey
When the world is on your shoulders
and you need a helping hand
I know what you need,
because I understand
I've been through all the struggles
I've been through all the pain
and though sometimes we need a push
this one thing still remains;
Life is a journey, there are bumps along the way
But you gotta keep moving on, it's gonna be okay
Love is the answer, and I'll show you that it's true
Everyday, and every way, you're beautiful- and I Thank You.
And something tells me that you love me
and something tells me that you care
I thank you looking out for me,
I thank you for being there
Life is a journey, there are bumps along the way
But you gotta keep moving on, it's gonna be okay
Love is the answer, and I'll show you that it's true
Everyday, and every way, you're beautiful- and I Thank You.

Thank God that's not a rock song.......setting that tripe to a rock track would be worse than the horrible song itself.....

Can Taylor offer his song writing abilities to Gray/Lachey and offer to help them fix that song?

It's made up from VFTW, the sad thing is it's probably better than the real song will be. lol

You know what they should do, is have a song writing contest and the winners song gets sung by the AI winner. At least they would have several to choose from.

Taylor and Kat had obviously been well-coached this past week when Elliot was voted off, because both looked subdued.
Remember Paris and her copious tears when a contestant was voted off? That was real class.
I don't remember anything negative about Taylor rejoicing on the night that Chris was voted off. I seem to recall that Taylor cheered AFTER the initial shock had worn off, after Seacrest turned to Taylor and Elliot and told them specifically, you are safe. I didn't see anything unsportsmanlike about Taylor and Elliot celebrating at that point it time.
