And Pickler in the Joan Crawford role :)
"Difficult"--"ego"? nah, not buyin' it. I do know that he is very serious about the music. What he does "IS" music. It's getting harder to find these days. I've never heard even one "AI song" in the final that was a really good song. Syrupy and boring every time. If Taylor complained I'm sure he wasn't the first and won't be the last.
However I do give the writer credit for the last part, so maybe it wasn't the bash I thought it was going to be. A little annoyed with the first part. But then again it is "Access Hollywood". LOL.
ROFLMAO!!! That would be hysterical. I'd almost pay to see it. Almost. ;-)
She has the perfect voice for it and as a matter of fact has been traveling with Beth Moore. Know who she is without having to use a search engine? :)
You do make a good point, though. They're all in it to win, and it's a lot of money. Kind of like Survivor Island.
If Katherine's family screamed "she's incredible", which is what cut off Paula's comments about Katherine's blues singing, or her daddy did pay a PR agency to influence things (rumor...needs to be verified or repudiated), that would cross the line. I'll reserve judgement about the family reaction to Katherine staying....only those who were actually there could put it in context.
The song probably sucks-- most of the finale songs do. A Moment Like This is the only exception I can think of, and that was truly a "moment".
That is disturbing. LOL.
LMAO!!
I thought that was pretty tacky of Randy and Paula, when Clive picked her song. IMO, Cat should win. I think she's got the best voice and she's beautiful. Over the weeks, I began to care less and less for Taylor, because IMO, he's too hyper/goofy/childish in his actions. I don't follow this thread that often because by the time AI comes on in my area this thread has already posted who was eliminated, etc. That said, Taylor will probably win, but Kat will still get a recording contract out of it, and I think she's going to become one of the greatest female artists of all time. She's this good starting out, so by the time she's got experience, she's going to blow them away. I really expect great things out of her. :o)
Just imagine the scene the scene where Kat gives Pickler her rat dinner!!
Beth Moore is amazing! Going to see her next month. ;)
She can probably put out some decent records, they can do a lot of things in the studio to really max out her talent. But, she will need to get a lot better to put on a good live show. And she probably is not going to be a great songwriter if her real goal is acting.
Idol could do worse, but I think she is a long way from "greatest female artist of all time". That is a pretty amazing list... think Cyndi Lauper, Aretha, Celine Dion, Elton John...
No, and neither does anyone else. Hence my point. A "fantastic career" in "gospel music" is an oxymoron. Unless one is talking of something other than the almighty dollar.
I think most of you are McNuts with all your McConspiracies, and need to McLighten McUp.
Hope you enjoy it. I hear she's even better in person.
LOL @ Elton John!! Let's be fair to her. Isn't she still in high school? She's never done anything of this magnitude before, that I know of. Naturally, she's going to have to develop 'stage personality.' She's grown tremendously since she tried out for AI. It will come in time. Taylor is a lot older and has been in the industry for several years. His experience on stage should have given him the edge, and in fact, has.
I didn't know that her "real goal" was acting. Of course she's not as good as any of the female artists you mentioned, but she's not even professional, yet. You mark my words, that she's going to surpass many of them, if not all, but all in time. :o)
LOL. Now THAT'S funny.
Newsflash. Those CDs aren't free, nor do I expect them to be. Christian singers have bills too. So yes, they actually get paid in money rather than herbs, spices & livestock. I'll gladly put down 20 bucks for a Chris Tomlin CD. But I'm sure you don't know who he is either.
I may be wrong but I had heard her age as 22. Hardly not in high school - I would think. LOL ;)
Kat is just lucky that they didn't bust her on Elvis night for picking an Elvis tune.
Randy: I don't know dog, didn't work for me. Elvis was a dude, and you're a chick, you shoulda picked a chick tune, it didn't work that great for me...
Paula: Oh I agree, but you know I love you, and I'm a big fan, your voice is so beautiful and you are so beautiful, you shouldn't have picked an Elvis tune though.
Simon: You two are idiots, how many more years do you have left on your contracts...
