"I hope we get to see him play the harmonic one last time on AI."
Me, too. I often think that the perfect song for Taylor to sing (and play) is Tom Cochrane's "Life is a Highway."
Imagine him singing it and playing the harmonica solos from it - IMHO it's exactly the right song for his style, and would win the audience over.

It costs 5 cents per message. Whoa! I was getting ready to ask you how come it was only 5 cents for YOU. lol
10 cents per text--- Unless you have unlimited. Which I don't, but my daughter does. Hmmmmm....

Taylor is a great soul and I think a true friend to Elliott.

Taylor's reaction seems just as weird as Katharine's did last week.....these kids have worked their hearts out for years. Of course they are overwhelmed that they made the final two. And besides, take a GOOD look at Taylor. Maybe his mouth isn't smiling, but his eyes sure are.

I agree about her dad. I tear up about anything especially our grandbabies but something is realllllly weird abou this d@mn crying all the time. IMO Kat could do better of she "felt" her music like Taylor does. She is, IMO, a girl who wants to please her family and not someone who really wants to sing. That is why she hasn't the heart in her music like some of the others.

There's a reason for that--last year's thread didn't start until half way through the season :) Oooooooh. LOL

That's why Taylor has a 'soul patrol' and Kat has me me me me me syndrome.
No doubt her behaviour has been encouraged by her parents.

"Katherine doesn't have a definable musical identity."
My husband and I were talking about this. We think she sounds like a Branson variety show girl. Or maybe a Miss America contestant. She seems like a sweet girl but I really don't care for her style. By the way, be nice to the host! ;o)

Dooooooooooooooobies............... All I could think of when I saw that was "Let's all be Do Bees, not Don't Bees"
Anyone know where that comes from? If so, you win a brand new rocking chair or a brand new motorized scooter. LOLOL
To: Wyatt's Torch
The thing with Taylor and Elliott - you know they have their own sound, their genre where they will be great. What genre is Kat's? There is nothing that is HERS.

Those vote totals have to be bull - Tay and E has SRO crowds spilling in the streets, McPhee got a photo-op at a school-mandated assembly. That's more the difference between Alabama and Los Angeles: Taylor is a relative superstar in his home - Katherine is just part of the Hollywood background noise in hers.
But that 33% each total is extraordinarly suspicious, and suggests to me that like Democrat election officials, American Idol just counts the votes any way they want. So bet on McPhee next week - she's a lot easier to sell.

I said earlier today that Kat reminds me of Jacklyn Smith, one of the original Charlie's Angels! Especially picture #4 in post #3368.She does!
