I hate to be the spoilsport ... but can I please request that we not put a kajillion jpgs on any one page? For those of us on dialup powered by geriatric squirrels in rusty cages, the result is never actually getting to see the text at the bottom of the page, since the system is striving mightily to load the many pictures of The Mighty Ta-ta'd One and has no time for lesser things such as, oh, text discussion of the other contestants further down the page.

Upon further thought re: Clive picks:

Kat - Clive may have finished her off with this. Plays right into her weaknesses of too much power ballad belting-out;

Elliot - Doesn't appear to be the right kind of song for his voice. Likely by his will and talent he can pull it off, but it's just kinda lame, as is Kat's;

Taylor - One good thing is first Springsteen song ever on AI, from what I hear. I can see Taylor slaying the "wanna change my clothes, my hair, my face" line. But still seems kinda strange.

I'm not sure what Clive is looking for, certainly not playing to their strengths...

You know, I just realized that the only time I have seen a MORE surprised look than Chris' on the face of an Idol contestant, was the look on Kelly Clarkson's face when she lost the "World Idol" contest to that clown from Norway, I think it was..Whatever happened to him BTW..?

I was listening to Rick and Bubba this morning and they have a feeling that tonight is Taylor's last night on the show due to rumors they have been hearing. :( They are the # 1 radio show in B'ham also syndicated in several areas but AI tried to keep Taylor off their show last week. It wasn't until they raised a huge stink that the PTB decided to put him on their show at the last minute. THe soul patrollers were in the parking lot at the station waiting his arrival because they had been told he would be on and then someone changed his schedule and made it to where Taylor was only with them for a very short time. I am not trying to be a conspiracy nut but it does seem they keep making changes to Taylor's songs, schedules, etc.

Simon is faced with another contestant who he doesn’t “get” and hasn’t from the start. He has no idea what he would do with Taylor if he were to win, and I think he’s been in denial that this is even a possibility. He’s been rude and dismissive of Taylor, and even his compliments have been begrudging.

The author of this article can not seem to grasp a major marketing concept! Simon is the balance to "Dogg" Randy and Ms. Abdulnutz. Which BTW never critize any performance, that's Simon's job, to give the REAL review.

Simon knows exactly what's going on and further more he will know exactly what to do with Taylor...This simple accusation shows an utter lack of understanding on the authors part about business, music, and entertainment.

Simon gives the real analysis, which should motivate and inspire the contestants to move towards what has to be done to improve their talents. Taylor doesn't need much advise and should stay exactly like he is, however what Simon is telling Taylor is concentrate on your singing and voice because that's what is going to sell records, not your dance moves...His dancing will sell concert tickets.

From Simon's POV that has to be a good piece of advice because it's what will make the performer and the bucks!
