Well, it kinda builds up, a la what Taylor did with "You Send Me", only more so. Another big rumor is Clive picking "Walking in Memphis" for Taylor. If true, ol' Clive may have handed Tay the crown right there!
BTW Net, check out the following quote from a Hicks fansite post, hilarious:
This is what my life has become! Im a 55-year-old lesbian (for crying out loud!) and Ive fallen ass over apple cart for him. Talk about your mid-life crisis!
To: over3Owithabrain
That post is funny! I don't put much stock in the rumor of Clive picking that song. The rumor was around before the judges picks came out. I think that one is a real rumor based on someone's dream. :)

"Don't go there....."I didn't.
Just musing aloud.

"Kat sang "Over the Rainbow" and "God Bless the Child" at her high school. Some person on MJ's said she surprisingly didn't oversing OTR when she performed there"That's the key. If it brings out the Elvis in her, she's sunk.

I found the post where the Soul Patrol was born! I wanted to post it here so that it was on record when it was born since some keep thinking that the fan base was prior to American Idol.

I have read of other lesbians coming "out" for Taylor. It's funny what kind of charm he has on women and the thing is I don't think he has much of a clue about it.

"I have read of other lesbians coming "out" for Taylor"Well they couldn't fall in for Patrick Hall after he butchered Melissa Etheridge right out of the gate.

How did the thread end up in the Smokey Backroom????? I don't know. Somebody probably fainted over the word 'lesbian' and their nose hit the scream abuse button.

In all my weeks of voting for Chris, and I've voted for him from the beginning, I could never get through on a land-based phone. So I text VOTE on my Cingular Wireless phone to vote for him. It costs five cents a call but it's worth it. I feel sorry for people who can't get thru to vote for their favorite.

I have heard complaints from people who say that they vote hundreds of time on their cell phones via text but the bills never show more than one vote going through. Any experience with this?

If it's true that Dial Idol had Chris' number wrong in the system for the first thirty minutes, then the entire vote should be negated, they should bring back Chris next week and allow fans to vote again. Make it fair this time!

Conspiracy! The producers want Kat to win because they want another Princess candidate like Carrie. They rig the phone lines and even a minor mistake in the voting process can affect the outcome. Chris gets booted, the other two guys divide the male vote, and Kat surges ahead. Am. Idol show turns into Miss America pageant. They engineer big finale where Kat sings her future hit number as graffiti falls from ceiling.

As long as people can't get thru on the land-based phones, then the system is rigged. The producers will determine the outcome based upon who they think will sell the most product.

If Kat sings "Over the Rainbow", I'm gonna puke. That's all we need, a future Judy Garland.

Cingular sends you a confirmation email after the first vote, saying this is the only confirmation that you will get that your votes are being received (also that their call to you is no charge.) This is SOP. They only email you once per voting session.
