I wold guess Tay, Kat, E, and Chris in that order.

That would be my guess, too, though 2 and 4 could be switched I suppose.

Apparently there is a collection of threads from May 9th including the official AI site, in which people were emailing in that when they called to vote for Chris, they got Katherine's voice thnking them for voting for her. Some say they got Elliot's voice, and some say Taylors. I don't know. Initially the accusation was that ticked off fans were just making it up. On the AI message board they are asking people to fax in threads from Tuesday night as proof. Also a lot of people emailed in saying that the line wasn't in service, and I think this part is true for some areas, as Verizon did confirm that their line went down.

Just found this posted elsewhere. Thought it was kind of interesting.

Dial Idol measures busy percentages nationally for hundreds of thousands of calls each week and reports the busy percentages:

Week 1 (boys)

Taylor 60%
Ace 44%
Chris 34%

Week 2 (boys)

Taylor 37%
Ace 24%
Chris 19%

Week 3 (boys)

Kevin 64%
Taylor 54%
Bucky 28%

Week 4

Taylor 65%
Kellie 51%
Chris 45%

Week 5

Taylor 54%
Kellie 52%
Chris 50%

Week 6

Taylor 54%
Chris 51%
Kellie 48%

Week 7

Taylor 72%
Katharine 56%
Kellie 54%

Week 8

Taylor 71%
Kellie 62%
Paris 62%

Week 9

Taylor 77%
Elliott 75%
Kellie 67%

Week 10

Chris 67%
Taylor 67%
Elliot 61%

Week 11

Taylor 78%
Chris 65%
Elliot 63%

Week 11

Taylor 78%
Elliot 74%
Chris 65%
Kat 64%

Now, Dial Idol has not been perfect. For one thing, it has consistently under-represented Kat's vote and over-represented Elliot's vote. However, it's only really missed when the voting is very, very close...like Week 10 when Kat jumped up and knocked Taylor down to third.

But, the big picture trend here is pretty obvious. While other contestants have jumped up here and there in any given week, one contestant has delivered the vote consistently from day one up through Elvis week. Never in any danger. Almost always holding down the 1st place spot.

As contestants have gone home, Elliot and Kat have picked up voters and closed the gap. But, they are still trailing in the fourth quarter. Taylor isn't likely to lose to either of them. They are going to have to deliver a string of knockout performances to beat him.

Anyway, the point was that if Daughtry (and his fans) really believed the nonsense that he was the front runner, they were delusional. He had gone three weeks in a row without even being in the top three. That's not a front-runner.

I think there were lines down in Mandisa's state, the week she got voted off. Didn't seem to affect anything.

Yeah, I don't know that it would change the outcome. A lot of people are just mad, I think. He'll be fine though. He may not have broadened his base much since the start of the show, but I imagine that his base is more likely to purchase his CD than many of the contestants' fans. Alot of people switch votes to other contestants once their favorite is voted off, that doesn't neccessarily translate to sales.

For example. I like Elliot. I think he is a nice guy. I might consider voting for him because of this. However, I've never been impressed with his song choices, and have no idea what kind of music he will put out when this is over. With Both Taylor, and Chris, you knew what you were getting.

Absent Element, Chris's band, has been selling out of CD's left and right. From what I've read, they're going for $50 on ebay. I haven't bought one yet, but I probably will from the band's site. This uproar may be better publicity for him than AI.

I read on AI that Dial Idol had confirmed that they did have Chris's number wrong in their system for the first 30 minutes. This wouldn't have changed results though. It just might have shown him doing better than Kat on predictions. But, since she is consistently underrepresented, it evened out, I guess.

Thing is she didn't beat him by tht much, if she was getting half his calls you'd think she would have had a lot more votes.

I can't wair for Taylor's CD to come out. He had 12,000 fans show up at the Galleria Mall alone. It was jam packed. His CD's were going for big money on ebay, too.

Taylor will also have a great career, even if he doesn't win.

In a lot of ways I think that it's best for Chris, and possibly Taylor to have the freedom to do their own thing. If Taylor does win, I hope that AI doesn't try to make him fit into any kind of mold. He's best doing it his way. If they're smart they'll recognize this.

It may have been a problem at the local level. When this story first broke there were also posts from people saying they voted for Elliot and got Chris and voted for Taylor and got. It might have been a small short lived glitch in one area.

Some AI staffers after seeing Taylor perform in Alabama now think he has been "holding back" his performance on the show. Quote "Taylor's been slipping us the Golden Sandbag"

Completely diferent. Taylor is at home fronting his band when he can play the guitar and blues harp. Just singing is not nearly as natural. That's why all the dancing. He seemingly has to do something else. BTW, if we were allowed to play the harmonica it would be over.....

Some callers claim ‘Idol’ votes were misdirected
Frustrated Daughtry fans say they were greeted with message for McPhee

http://msnbc.msn.com/id/12748906/

MSNBC staff and news service reports
Updated: 6:22 p.m. ET May 12, 2006

"American Idol" sent rocker Chris Daughtry home Wednesday night, but Daughtry's fans aren't quite ready to let him go. At least one online petition, with more than 16,000 names attached, is calling for a recount of the "American Idol" votes.

MSNBC.com has received numerous e-mails and bulletin board posts claiming that voters who dialed the first of Daughtry's two phone numbers were greeted by a recorded message from "Idol" singer Katharine McPhee, thanking the caller for voting for her. According to Wednesday night's show, McPhee received the second-lowest number of votes, after Daughtry. The Associated Press cited Tracey Adams, a family friend of Daughtry's, saying that fans from his North Carolina hometown were among those who heard another contestant's voice when calling for Daughtry.

One fan who wrote to MSNBC.com said: "They had another voting mess-up. When I called to vote for Chris, Katharine says Thanks for voting for me. I thought I dialed the wrong number, so I tried again to hear Katharine, again. People were trying to vote for Chris...not Katharine! That's why Chris went home......GRRRR...REDO please!”

Other voters claimed that they were able to get through on both of Daughtry's numbers and heard his voice, not McPhee's. Still others said that despite calling solidly for two hours, they were never able to get through and place a vote for Daughtry.

A FOX spokesperson told MSNBC.com. “The producers and network have gone to great lengths to insure the integrity of the voting process on ‘American Idol.’ AT&T and the independent voting company that oversee the voting have confirmed that there were no issues with the phone lines after Tuesday’s show. While acknowledging that dedicated fans may be unhappy with the outcome, the system only reports the decision of the voting public. As we have said before, you can’t take votes for granted on this show. We encourage fans to support their favorites and vote for the person they want to see as the next American Idol.”

Next time you link to a gay website, please include a barf alert. I mean it, Netizen.

You're disgusting.

That site writes hilarious recaps.

I'll include the BARF just for you, if you promise to not look just so you have something to gripe about? Deal?

That petition is close to 50,000 now. I don't think it'll bring hime back, but it ought to make him and his family feel pretty darn good about his chances for success following this thing.

You can troll around gay websites all you want, but don't bring it to this board.
That makes two times now, and it's inappropriate and unacceptable here.
Got it?
