You know considering that people are willing to shell out big bucks for his old c.d.s on ebay that should make Simon happy. I heard a woman in Japan say that she is flying stateside this weekend to stay for 2 weeks just to be able to vote for Taylor!!! She called in on the Glenn Beck show. He was shocked, said what's that going to cost you just to make two phone calls. I've heard story after story like that, so I can't help feeling frustration with these jerks who say he's going to cost Simon. If they would leave him alone to record his stuff he should do well. Thanks for letting me vent. :)

I think he underestimates how many votes she will cast! lol I've wondered the same thing about the CD bit. How much did one of them go for? I forget, but it was a lot.

If (big if) the estimated vote numbers Zabasearch posted reflect the actuals, then in round numbers:

Taylor got about 12,488,000 votes
Elliott got about 12,403,000 votes
Katharine got 12,349,000 votes
Chris got 12,348,000 votes

Or a margin of around 140,000 from first to last. So on paper, it does look like Chris' fans have the power to put Katharine over the top, but what if 140,000 of Chris' voters go to her, another 140,000 go to Elliott, and some percentage goes to Taylor? This time every season, new viewers who haven't been watching the show every week join the voting pool, and they are a total wild card. I think what happens next week is anybody's guess, and the performances will matter more than ever.

Makes my head spin. :)

"...Was she going WOOOOOOOO! in that last pic?..."

No. She was showing how she looked just before puking her guts out.

i'd still like to know who suggested she wear the sleeveless top when she sang and then for the results she had on the nice red top that was a good color for her. Also, I noticed that in the commercials the other gals wore dresses but Mandia had jeans and then to have them SKIP down the street. Yeah I see guys skip all the time down the street. I knew then she wsas a goner. And she was. :(

Shaved is cooler, on a guy. :) I was so happy that Elliot was safe last night, by the way.

Glenn is so funny. I hope he gets Chris on too. That would be great!

I like Elliot, but Chris was my favorite. If anyone hears anything solid about this changed number gossip, could you please ping me?

It's beginning to look a lot like Chris miss... :::sniff:::

I know ... That's all anyone has talked about in NC today. I think the whole state gasped when Seacrest said Chris' name :o

I've tried thinking through the numbers but there's no way to tell. We need to wait till they sing. :(

Is it just an hour next week?

Probably Chris's downfall in the end is that he has a limited audience. I am sure if my mom watched Idol, that she would not vote for him. The same cannot be said for just about any of the others - certainly the three left. He has a lot of fans, but only if you like his type of music. I don't care for a lot of the music Elliot sings, but I enjoy hearing him sing it. He's got to be the biggest dark horse in Idol history. I thought he would have been gone 6 weeks ago.

And, he should have kicked Seacrest's ass on tv last night. Major disrespect.

Yep. I don't know if Seacrest knew it was going to be that brutal (probably), but there had to be a way of giving the results without causing mass heart attacks. And anyone who has made it this far in the competition deserves better than that too.

Is it just an hour next week?

Don't know. I think an hour, and the finale is two hours. I looked over on the Idol website for next week's theme, but didn't see it posted.

Thinking through the numbers is an exercise in futility. What I was really trying to illustrate by posting them is that Chris' fans on other boards can bluster all they want, but they represent only a slice of the 12 million or so who voted for him last week. They can't control what all the others do, and certainly can't control what the new viewers who always join the show at this time of year will do.

It's truly anybody's contest to win or lose now.

If this accurate then Taylor has it won as I believe he will be the benefactor of Chris leaving.

If the Chris voters are still watching.

I agree, the all rock, all the time act, finally ran out of gas.

yeah, that classic rock song 'It's a Wonderful World' was performed by Chris. He diversified a hell of a lot more than Taylor - the wedding singer - has.

that's exactly how i was feeling - the doctor said i had bronchitis and sinusitis...gave me the old standby - a shot in the butt! and then some antiobiotics & cough medicine to take. I'm already feeling better - at least not coughing as much and guess what - I'm having my first glass of wine in days....boy, are folks upset about Chris getting the old heave ho....i've been getting e-mails from friends all day....even in the doctor's office I could hear her staff outside my exam room talking about it....too funny!

Hi, Wolfstar :)

I have to laugh at people who simply cannot (or will not) discuss their opinions without resorting to insults. FR is totally infected with this "disease" these days.

Yep. I think that's all some posters are capable of. This particular poster didn't say anything relevent to anybody as far as I could tell, just tried to pick fights--after everyone else had gone to sleep :)

bronchitis & sinusitis....feeling better already with the drugs she gave me....just told retrokitten that the entire conversation I could hear while in the exam room was CHRIS!!!! If I'd not felt so bad, I would have walked out and joined the conversation!
