I don't see what people considered so WOW about Chris. I can turn on the Alt. rock stations and hear guys just like him. He might be as good as those singers but it's nothing new that anyone who knows that music will tell you.

I love Taylor, but why did they do that?

To fill time, I guess. But it seems unfair to the other singers to spotlight Taylor like that. And it also seems insulting to Taylor to make him perform like a trained seal.

Probably an undeserved result, but Chris brought this early exit on himself. He got off to a good start with "Suspicious Minds", but he made a horrendous mistake in picking a song that requires staying low for a good chunk of the song. There were a bunch of Elvis songs much better suited to his voice, but he went to the well one time to often with rocker stuff.

Unfortunately for him, Daughtry has probably relegated himself to afterthought status, which is too bad, because a few of his performances were probably as good as has been on Idol. If he can get into a studio with a good label and get an opportunity to record songs that kind of tightrope that rock / pop artist line, he could still be successful in a fairly big way.

From what I've read, Katherine has a very sweet engaging personality, as does Taylor and Elliot.

Chris and Ace were known among the hotel staff and producers as whiney "divas", who were impossible to please.

Paris Bennett was on with Glen Beck the other day. He commented on her mickeymouse voice and suddenly, there she was, talking like a grownup. I suspect that baby voice was something she invented about herself. It did her no good and I have a feeling it's gone forever.

Even IF she sings better than Taylor and Elliot - she'll still be going home. For one thing, people tend to look at someone's overall performance and while she is good - she has not been as consistent as Taylor. Secondly, she won't be getting any of Chris' votes for the simple fact that Chris' fans will think she is the one that should have gone home. Their votes will be split between Elliot and Taylor.

I agree with you about Elliott. Its gonna be hard for me to pull for him though because my husband was born in Talladega Co. and he loves Taylor, and we always try to vote for him every week. But Elliott is like, well, almost a handicapped person IMO because of his dental problems and his hearing deficit in that one ear, sorta like a Cinderella story, huh? More of an underdog than Clay Aiken. BTW, is that story right about Mr. Aiken swinging the other way?

the reason is because this country is filled with idiots. Idiots who are voting for nasty slob who can't sing, Taylor and an Amazon woman who clearly needed to gome home these past two weeks. Most of these same idiots voted for President Bush and the crooked Senators and US Reps who have our economy in flux and the gas levels about $3 per gallon. We are a country of IDIOTS and it shows so clearly on American Idol.
