If Chris goes home I'll be SHOCKED...even though that's what both ZABA and DI say. Simon wants Chris to win in a big way.
Kat should go home, based on her performances last night.
To: Netizen
That would be odd since I am on a work computer...but how did you overcome that?

It sounds like Nigel is worrying about the aftershock.

I don't know - but these individual totals are way off from when I posted them earlier. Last night Zabasearch had Chris going home (early totals) - Then I checked earlier this morning again had Chris going home but they had a note up that the final totals would be posted at 10 am (which time zone I don't know) - So I came back after 12 noon central time and the message was gone so I thought they had gotten them all counted (this was when Elliott was going home) - then you checked and boom they did a 180 on the individual totals on who was going home but the total count is nearly the same.
So I don't know whats going on (it feels like election day) - Zabasearch is trying to follow DI or not. Last night was the first time I had real problems getting through on Chris' lines. Usually I get through 20 times (votes) before 1 busy - but last night it was 20 busys for every 1 vote I got in.
I don't want to see Chris go home, but it might be best for his career (like I have said before) that he does not win AI. I am caught up between wanting him to win and not wanting him to win.
I have to get off of here and get dinner on the table. I'll be back on when AI comes on in about 2 hours.

I wasn't able to get through for Taylor very much at all. Maybe 20 votes for the full two hours. I did have some bad dials though, just like I had with Mandisa and Kevin. redials that wound up being dead air, redials that were 'the number you dialed did not go through'.

Agree. Kat should go home. I'd be shocked if Chris went home, he's a power house.
I'm priming a bathroom wall, so I'll be back for the fond farewell..

Well, we'll find out tonight. I think Kat will go, but I guess we disagree about Elliot...I'm not a big Taylor fan, but a lot of people think he's hot, so we'll see.

Absolutely OUTSTANDING post. Very well put.
The only thing I would add is that Elliott is the only finalist with no professional voice training (except what he's received here) and no performance experience (except for karaoke bars back home)! He has embraced any and all advice given by the guest vocalists this season. He has risen to the occasion every week, and has never gone "backwards" as the judges say. He has slowly, but steadily climbed the ladder one rung at a time.
We are going to see Simon do A LOT of squirming if Chris goes home. He has no idea how to market Taylor or Elliott. I also think he doesn't know Americans very well. Yes, we love to pull for the underdog, but if you let us know you don't like our underdog, then we don't like you.
I loved your Ugly Duckling analogy about Elliott, but remember what I said in Post #1056. "He may not be very tall, but he is sure someone we can look up to!"

I think Elliott is great... I think he is the best singer. You are right he has gotten better through out the show... I will buy his CD's...
To: Hetty_Fauxvert
I think she must be self-conscious about her supposedly thick waist, and I think she's also self-conscious about those bodacious ta-tas. Did you see her reaction after the commercial last week (the one where they all ended up wearing those weird costumes, and she was in a horizontally striped, very form-fitting minidress)? The dress made her look cartoonish, of course, but it also showed off a bombshell body. Did it ever :-P

The camera cut to their reactions afterward, and she looked absolutely horrified. I hope she learns to appreciate her body and be comfortable with it while she is still young and looks that good!
Somewhere along the way, I think, McPhee began to think she was chunky. Yeah, she's chunky--in all the right places! If this was WWII, they would be painting her image on the side of bombers :)
