Her absence from the tour does not bode well for McPhee, whether she is being a diva or having a relapse of her eating disorder. (And it *really* does not bode well if she truly is having vocal strain ... you need to have not only a good voice but strong vocal cords to make it through marathons like tours.) I hope the strain has not caused her to become bulemic again. I always thought she had a spectacular figure (though I did criticize her clothing choices more than once!).
So Elliott has met a model? or more than one? What happened to his hometown honey? ;o)
The model thing was just that, nothing too significant although she was damned cute from the picture I saw. He's simply not ready to settle down so why keep someone waiting when he cannot be there. He's got a music career to launch.

Likely he will although I suspect that he might not be as naive as time goes on.
They have been told that she is not going to be on the tour. That could change down the line but if she has not rehearsed with them and they have a routine down it becomes hard for them to work her in.
Everyone sang 2-4 songs. Ace was after Mandisa and was so so but the girls were SCREAMING!!
Then came Lisa (I don't remember her last name.) She was very good and accompanied herself on keyboard for two Elton John songs. She introduced Paris as "my best friend."
They did a duet (Waterfalls) and Paris took over. She worked the crowd more than anyone and never missed a note. She's technically very good but never really emotionally connects.
Bucky came next.I'm sorry to say he was not good. Not totally awful, but not good. I'll be amazed if his voice holds out for the whole tour.
Then comes Kellie. Also losing her voice and looking uncomfortable onstage. Not good. Intermissiion.
Up next is Chris....who totally rocks!! Voice, charisma, everyone running to see him. He waas amazing! He brings Elliot out for a duet on a Nickelback song which was the highlight of the night.
Elliot was (of course) amazing, his Mom was there!! Then Elliot explains that Kat can't be there due to laryngitis. Bucky, Ace, and Chris come out and sing Patience by GnR while pictures of Kat flash on the big screen!!
Everyone say CHEEEEEEEEZZZ.
Last but not least is Taylor.....who stunk!!! Bad song choices coupled with incredibly eccentric stage antics led me to believe he was either tired or tripping!! LOL!
Bottom line.....go see the show only if you REALLY love these performers. Chris will be performing in your town soon.
How nice, that she doesn't have to adhere to the same standards that the others are held to, regarding their contract. Also nice that she was allowed to sing with Bocceli and soon to co host The View, but can't find time to rehearse with the idols. /major sarcasm
There's obviously more to the story then they have told the other tour members but hey, better for them I say as they are the ones who wanted to be singers and she wanted to pursue other opportunities. This crew has 3 people that have the potential to go far in their own styles and outside of Kat no one is going to say anything bad about Taylor, Elliott or Chris.
When they come to Richmond in two weeks there is a party for Elliott and his large family before the show and I believe a birthday party after the show so maybe a few of his tour mates will be there. Paula Abdul is also supposed to come out for the night to meet his family and hang out with his Mom as they got to be pretty friendly with one another during the show weeks.
We shall see.
I may or may not be able to attend the show. If I can go I will recap my thoughts and if I can get a picture or two for the before and after gigs I will get them posted.
I think you're right about there being more to the story. I think the others are better off with her not being there. I'll bet the gals are glad that she isn't on the bus with them! :)
Hope you can make the concert and the parties, not just for the pictures, but because it should be great fun!
'Idol' Finalist Pickler Inks Record Deal

Bubbly blonde "American Idol" finalist Kellie Pickler has landed a record deal with country label BNA Records and 19 Recordings, the label founded by "Idol" creator Simon Fuller.
First up for the 20-year-old North Carolina native, whom "Idol" judge Simon Cowell once deemed a "naughty little minx," will be a single scheduled for release in September. Her debut album will arrive Nov. 14.
"I've always dreamed of getting a record deal, so now my dream has come true!" Pickler said in a statement released Monday by Sony BMG, parent company of the Nashville-based BNA.
Pickler is currently on the "American Idols Live" cross-country tour and "will record the album in between tour dates," according to the statement.
Her twangy rendition of Patsy Cline's "Walkin' After Midnight" can be heard on the "American Idol: Season Five" compilation CD.
Other "Idol" alums signed to 19 Recordings include fellow season-five finalist Chris Daughtry and past winners Kelly Clarkson, Fantasia and Ruben Studdard.
I was wondering if Eliot would get a big homecoming when he came back to this area (I'm near D.C.) I can't waid 'til the concert, can't believe it's next week already. Hopefully, they'll be comfortable with their songs by then.
They don't really have time to deviate much from the schedule. I know that there will be a private party for him before and after the Richmond show but that's about it.
It's being reported that Taylor and the top 10 AI finalists will be at the White House to meet the Prez on 7/28, the day of their concert in DC.
Taylor and the other ten?
I guess it would be the other 9 and Taylor for a total of 10.
