Cool! Thanks for posting the "7-Day Jump" chart. I've been following the three major charts for about 18-20 months now to track the progress of Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Josh Gracin and Bo Bice. It's a nice diversion from work, politics and other day-to-day stuff.

There's no way on earth that I could silence you. FR is an open forum. I'm merely expressing my STRONG opinion that not everything is about politics. If everything in your life is about politics, that's your life. Not everyone else's.

So far we've seen one quote about Taylor admiring Bill Clinton. I have to agree with Taylor, that Clinton is one heck of a politician...although he was not one of MY favorite presidents. I am not sure how we can decide somebody is a liberal or a democrat because of one quote. And if he plays it smart, he'll stay out of it - like Clay, like Kelly, like jessica simpson, even.

This is FABULOUS. It's big or getting big on the Adult Contemporary, Pop (called Mainstream Hit) and Country AIRPLAY charts!! I was laughing to myself because on the Pulse Music boards there were some puzzled posters who can't understand why it's rising on the Country charts. I think it's not a 'country' song either but it's being embraced by country radio stations.

This is so much fun!! I haven't watched music charts for a long time!!
Obviously this is something I'm going to be watching in the next few weeks.

This is so much fun!! I haven't watched music charts for a long time!!

It is fun to be able to track the progress of these AI contestants we've enjoyed and pulled for week after week.

Just FYI, though. The one labeled CHR/Pop is THE most important chart for the Pop genre. You can see how huge the chart is.

Billboard uses the radio airplay data from Mediabase, store sales from HDD and its own sources, and digital download info to come up with it's weekly charts. So the main Mediabase genre charts are the ones to track.

Mediabase updates daily, and their charts are a rolling 7-day method.

Hits Daily Double posts weekly sales Mondays and Tuesdays, except holidays. They call it their "building album sales chart." You have to register at HDD. Let me know if you want the link.

Billboard posts its updates on Thursdays. You don't have to register there.

I don't see why it would be ununual to play it on a country station. Country has changed a lot over the years and it is a slow song and when he 'Taylorizes' songs they get a bluesyness and country plays bluesy stuff. I say, don't knock it! He could easily do cross over into other genres. mush as Simon may have not wanted to admit that.

I too would love to be able see Simon eat his daily dish of crow.
