She is on fire but the background music is toooooo loud. The band was too loud for everyone, especially Elliott! What were they trying to do, cover up his great vocals?

I imagine that those two appeal more to the younger crowd.

I used to think so too, but I must have been drooling too loud and missed some of the bad notes!
But in truth, Katharine does sing well...but we're at the point where you've got to be at your best ALL the time and tonight she fell flat. (vocally that is)

You are indeed correct. It was the previous week that they were off.

My order tonight was Chris & Elliott a tie
Kat - because she was the most challenged with Elvis
Taylor - last in my opinion, especially when he should have shined

Chris is the best screamer. Kat can actually sing. I thought her first song was great and I loved seeing her move around the stage. Problem is
1) she forgot lyrics (we don't forgive THAT easily)
2) was out of breath for the last note
I think what Tommy said was right, she sings better than we have seen on the show, her second song wasn't that great.
Remember, Kat and Elliott are probably splitting votes that used to go to Paris.

I'm a little afraid to try it though, because we live fairly close to Midway Airport. Last thing I need to do is accidentally direct a Southwest jet to land on the lawn.
