Oh Hair, that's so sad. I'm so sorry to hear about Bob's mule :-(
Lions and tigers and bears OH MY!
I'd have PAID to watch you tearing off into the woods on a 4 wheeler with a shotgun!
Be careful out there and keep all your little critters, human and animal, close by. Do you have any large dogs that might scare it off? Little ones are just snackers to a cougar.
Thanks... for the love of a mule, Hogie had a good life :~)
I think home is where his two buddies are. Will he not ride in the truck?
Sure he will, but we can't ~always~ take him with us. He gets to go with as often as we can.
I looked it up, cougars in Texas are all down by you or in the Trans-Pecos.
I asked my son again, "are you sure it wasn't a great dane, maybe?" He said, "only if great danes have long tails that drag the ground and curl up on the end."
I have a blue heeler and a black lab. Not very good guard dogs but they will bark their heads off under my window.
"I'd have PAID to watch you tearing off into the woods on a 4 wheeler with a shotgun!"
I got about half way back there and thought, "what in the hell am I doing????"
Ain't it the truth!
It's kind of sad around here. We used to be out in the country but more and more deveopment squeezing the wild animals out. The cougars are a little west of us but we see coyotes every once in awhile.
The noise will probably do the job to keep him from coming up too close. But, I sure wouldn't leave any of my livestock or pets out in a pasture away from the house at night.
Until mama gets chicken and runs for cover.
I did tell my kids that they couldn't go to the barn without me anymore. They asked me what good could I do if a cougar came after them. I told them I'd make sure the cougar got me and not them. They were amazed that I would do that for them. Kids are so funny, they'll never know until they have kids of their own.
We see coyotes all the time and the occasional bobcat.
This dog will probably be gone tomorrow. I don't think the preacher was amused.
What do you mean "not amused"? Are you saying he'd do something to it?
and snakes and snakes and snakes.
