Oh dear. Poor thing. Hopefully she'll let someone save her..
There is no reason for people to do this . It makes me so mad. We have drop off cages at the shelter. No questions asked. It's just mean.
How do you know she was dumped, and isn't just lost/escaped?
Well, you never know... Homer goes MILES when he escapes.
Heh.... having posting problems tonight?
This dog is a dump, but I'll play. If this "owner" lost her then good. They will claim her.
Obviously not:') Don't know why that is happening. It keeps coming up as not sent yet.
Homer escapes?
Homer is awful about escaping if he gets stressed and we're gone. He's gotten away twice, both times he went MILES in a very short time. We have to leave him in the house when we leave.
Well he's not wanting to leave then. He's just looking for yall:')
I think so... since he was a stray when we found him, my brother says he's trying to get home and we won't let him :~\
We had some excitement here today. My 13 year old son and 7 year old daughter were driving around the property in a golf cart. Suddenly, they came running into the house screaming, "there's a cougar in the forest!" (our property is heavily treed and vined over about 20 acres, we call it our forest). I said, "yeah right, what did it look like?" My son replies, "it was huge, tan colored and had a long tail dragging the ground and it curled up on the end. It also had black stripes on the end of the tail." That was good enough for me, I grabbed a shotgun, got on a 4 wheeler and went looking but got scared and came back. Called my husband, he came home but didn't see it. My son said when they ran into the cougar, it was in a clearing but it slowly walked back into the forest.
My children won't be playing back there anymore, until I get animal control or some hunters to see if they can find it.
I thought something weird was going on the last couple of days. My miniature horses won't leave the barn and also, I have two schnauzers that sleep in a large walk-in cage at night and one of them wouldn't come out this morning when I let them out. He cowered in a corner.
Wow. I'd keep the horses in at night. Maybe he won't risk coming that close.
Tell your friend that the Saddle Club wishes him well.
I will. I ain't afraid of my coyotes, but I would be a cougar. One of the boarding stables near forest land was keeping their horses in at night because of a cougar. Two horses that had been at pasture were attacked.
Wow. So..when animal control comes out...don't forget the camera. Maybe he is just lost and belongs to someone:')
Cougars are nearly non-existent in this part of Texas but this is the second time someone has seen one in this area in the last six months. A man that works with my husband saw one in the area and he got a picture. He's bringing it over tomorrrow.
