Well, he's a guy, after all.
LOL, that is exactly how I was going to describe it:), Looks like someone sneezed on his foot:)
It was interesting, this stuff comes in black or white. He tried a tube of the black first, but the stuff malfuctioned. Thank goodness he had bought more then one tube of it. He says he will return that one. I guess the white was all he had.
He put the stuff on then we had to let it set up for about 20 minutes, before he filed it down some what smooth, and put the nail in.

If it works, I'd say it looks great. :~D
Celia and I are going to ride Wed. We'll see if it holds up then.
I think we're going to be fine now. He at least can't get that edge that was hanging out caught on something. I really worried about that going thru our rocky creeks.

I like the look of it. It ain't pretty, but it no longer looks like there's barely a hair holding the shoe on.
I don't really care what it looks like. Just making conversation:).
Becky
Right... I just hope it works.
In other news... 24 season finale tonight! There isn't enough time to resolve all these loose ends :~D
I wish we were watching it live. But ... the Mavs are playing the Spurs in game 7 tonight at the same time. So, we will DVR 24 and watch it after the game. It is kind of a plus though watching the recording. We get to skip through the commercials!
A game! You're putting off Jack for a game! :~0 LOL
The lurker was just a raw nerve. Sometimes, no matter how much you try, you are gonna step on a few here and there. We like you. That's all that counts:')
We like you, just other posters can't accept disagreement.
Actually I have run into a lot of women who buy a horse and then dont' train it and allow the horse to misbehave. IT is a shame because so many horses are allowed to get bad because women are often too softhearted to correct misbehavior. Horses have great memories and if they learn it right the first time and if they try to misbehave and get corrected they generally won't try it again.
My mare will do anything for me and was beautifuly behaved most times. She deserve a retirement. But if she broke her leg It would be a humane shot for her. Can't afford a horse that has a broken leg. Even if she had a severe illness it would not be worth trying to save her due to her age of 27 . I just make sure her shots are updated and get as musch exercise as she can stand.
My old guy is 24... And we have him, my husband's mare, and a pony to take care of (not to mention a kitten that was just dumped on me!)
We couldn't afford anything near that kind of reconstruction either... few can. But I'm happy for the recuperative knowledge gained from people who can.
Your posts on the other thread were terrific. Welcome to the saddle club thread :~D
What's this?
Rain Rot? She has two cuts in the areas but it looks more fungal to me but it doesn't look like fungus up close.
A horses hip:)
Becky
:')
Are you talking about that pink looking spot?
Becky
It's actually a much larger area than the camera picked up.
Yeah. It's multiple little raw areas open.
Is it crusty, weeping, is the hair gone?
Becky
