Here you go: 1.4 ounces, high-power tiny LED flashlight that runs on watch batteries, and a LOUD whistle. A vital piece of survival gear, with a street price of $14.

I'd also recommend a cheap laser pointer. Can't use a signal mirror after dark, but a laser shined into a pilot's eyes will get noticed.

I have a loud survival whistle somewhere... My folks gave them to us kids in case we got separated at the Abbotsford Airshow. :~D - or other similar events. I need to look for it.

Well, I don't like the land mine aspect, for man or beast.

I wonder if they can be trained to sense these things

I'm waiting to see the knife and gun holsters. I like that bag but it's not what I'm looking for, for Sarah Lee.

We use ALL free and clear which works just as good. The dryer sheets can be the cause of most problems, but you can get dryer soften balls from Walmart now that will do the job without leaving chemicals on your clothes.

Good Morning.

My cantle bag has water proof matches, fly stick, rain poncho, wire cutters, fly spray, sanitary pad, ace bandage and some first aid items. We also carried a knife and a folding hoof pick.

Good Morning!

Been really busy so haven't had a chance to get out to the barn like I've wanted to. It's a bummer.

I don't think I've ever seen it rain as hard as it did last night. In an instant water was running down the sidewalk of my patio like a river, It was literally like a faucet had been turned on. I just wish it had lasted longer. But it is very cool here this morning, and still looks like we could get some more rain. If I ride it won't be till later this afternoon.

It's raining right now, but I don't think it's going to last. The sky looks like it does when you're getting that last bit of rain before the sun breaks out.

Well, I hope you get what you need... Were you ever able to seed your pasture like you wanted? Is irrigation water an issue? Could you water it?

Oh, I read a little bit of the 24 thread last night. Just enough to make me even more curious tho. I know Martha hates her husband now:), but not sure which of the many reasons she has to hate him brought it on:)

No I haven't planted any seed yet. I'm afraid too right now. I'm afraid it would just burn up, and no I can't water it. I've sprayed the weeds on Rocky's side, and they are dying, but then so are the weeds on Harleys side for lack of water.

I doubt now I'll do it this year. It's getting a little late. If I planted it now it would germinate, but I'd say it couldn't get a good enough root system going before the really hot weather of summer hits. I'm hoping now to get the weeds kill off and give what little is out there naturally a chance to maybe spread enough. I may just land up fertilizing to help that.

I can't water ours either... I have only one outside faucet and it would require too much hose... I wouldn't have any pressure by the time I got it out there. I wish I could... It'd make all the difference. Water cost isn't an issue, we're on a well.
