It's interesting to me that they kept her so thin. The place we got her from was a nice place, it's not like they couldn't afford to feed her well, but all their horses were on the lean side. Maybe these folks just didn't know what horses are supposed to look like.
I did turn the horse and chase them, but as soon as I turned back around they came back even more aggressive then before, it was like pay back. One of these dogs is a blue heeler and one a full grown son of the heeler, but isn't full heeler.
We wondered if the first few days we rode by there they got so aggressive because Grizzly was with me, altho he never made a threatening move on them. He stayed right by me, they've jumped on him in the past both at the same time, and I think he knows he's outnumbered.
They use to leave when I hollered get, but it doesn't faze them at all now. I don't think they get alot of attention from their owners, they're just there, they get fed and such, but that's about it.
I've been surprised that one of the horses haven't kicked them yet either. It's like they're intimidated...
Oh, and I am planning on practicing with the water gun before I get there to see what Harley does:)

Let me know how it works. I have the same problem. The only difference is that the owners sit on the porch and watch. Maybe a super soaker for distance?:')
The move is going fine, but tiring. The good news is that we get to see the mountains every time we make a trip. It sure is hard to leave, though.
I'm that way at our lake lot.
AWWWWWW
Pony looks like she's a goner! :-)
Dat's Bay that's the goner... pony's the darkest one. ;~D
Just came in from riding, just here at home, shake down ride for spring... We had to put ~Bay's~ western cinch on Cyn.
I'll upload any pics that are interesting in a minute... haven't looked yet :~D
Sounds like you had a great ride. I'm glad your saddle is working out.
Wow, fingers crossed for certification - I'll be checking in to check up :)
The horses are all looking great.
Great to hear from you guys.
I suppose things are a little more civilized there than here, you can't just shoot the dogs :) Try windex in the water pistol - it has a little ammonia in it. Can you pass there on the other side of the street and then loudly tell them NO GO HOME!
And here we are in the pasture...
Pony just ran circles around us most of the time :~D
Back in the back forty again... she'd come blitzing around corners and startle everybody :~D
Thanks. I'm still planning for July.
She just wanted some attention too:')
Yeah - Her cinch from last year didn't come near around her... I'm talking 8 or more inches down from the end of the pad on both sides.
Here we are out in the back forty...
ecurbh is like a little kid, he gets bored so fast and has to make entertainment ;~D Here he is going around breaking dead branches off trees.
I thought when this big branch finally broke she was gonna jump out from under him, but he stayed with her.
Here's the ~other~ thing the pony liked to do today... park right in front of Bay... He wanted to bite her in the butt...
Here we are when we were done... working on Cyn sidepassing...
I think I'm an under achiever. I don't let this retirement stuff stress me. I just know things work out.
