How was the book? You finish it? I'm headed out to the stables in a bit. Gonna practice reverses with voice cues and a lead rope:')
Gas is 2.70 here right now.
Which means you were probably 1,000 miles from George Strait
LOL
Great pictures
A beautiful story - thanks for posting it :) What a surprise but all new babies are gifts to be treasured.
$2.75 for regular here yesterday.
Mine knocks on regular
First horse show of the season. The first two pictures are Class 1, Colts/Gelding Halter and Prez is first in line, Tuffy second. I didn't get the whole class, there were nine horses. Quarter Horse took first, Prez second, Tuffy third.
Second two pictures are of Class 2, Mares, that a friend of ours showed in. My pictures are horrible, I was standing at the gate (in the freezing wind) when the judge called no hats. By the time I took pictures I was also holding four stetsons.
You can't really tell from the pictures, the horses are standing into the wind (look at the tails) but the wind was gusting to 50mph, blowing steady over 20+mph and very cold. Show was called finally about Class 4 or 5. The horses were all spooked, two riders had been thrown, and the weather report was forecasting 80mph winds.
Current weather in Reno :)

I do okay on good regular but I have a KIA sportage 4cyl. It likes mid grade better but when gas gets high we both suffer.
I recognized Prez and Tuffy before I got down to where you pointed them out :~D Tuffy's growing up gorgeous.
It looks like a nice sunny day, doesn't look like it's about to be called off for weather at all. :~o
Good for the boys. Hair the saddle club has 2 more ribbons:')
So does our Ranger, we usually buy the middle gas, Supreme once in awhile or when we're going on a trip. Big truck gets Supreme too when it's pulling the trailer... want to give it all the power it can have.
Our gas usage is pretty low these days and not too affected by price. ecurbh's work is close and I rarely go anywhere. As for trailering this summer, it's close and the gas is just part of the cost of havin' fun.
Tuffy did pretty good for only his second show and the horrible weather. As long as he was by his buddy, Prez, all four feet generally stayed on the ground.
We had Prez entered in eight more classes, four Western Pleasure and four Trail, but even he began to get squirrelly. There will be a make up show sometime later this year.
I go about two weeks on a tank if I just go to work and back.
Nothing like you are getting but it was windy here today too
I so want spring to come. This cold weather has gone on way to long. Oh, Farah is starting to bag up. This is a little early for her since she's not due until May 16th, so we are keeping an eye on her.
I just read a thread about nutria's up in you part of the country. Well, just scanned the headlines. Did someone import them?
I got sun burned today. I think we skipped spring. That's a month early? What's ok?
I ready a story about it in the paper too this morning... they're concered about them... have trapped a number of them around Seattle. Don't know how they got here.
She generally baggs up about three weeks early, so I wouldn't have expected it until the end of the month. She always foals 18-24 days early but I took that in to account when figuring her due date.
