My pleasure :~D
We're not endearing ourselves to the farrier forum I'm afraid. ;~)
Enjoy the show tonight:)
See everyone tomorrow:)
Becky
I especially like this quote:
"To save you the trouble of replying with further common insults(if you have some uncommon ones, I'd be interested in reading them so I can add them to my ever burgeoning repetoire'), I will readily admit to my numerous character attributes(which are the absolute envy of many). To wit(and feel free to add to the list): I am arrogant, egotistical, nefarious(at least according to Tom Stovall), pompous, sarcastic, cynical, overbearing, opinionated, curmudgeonly, eclectic, The Prince of Pretty, The Sultan of Suave, El Magnifico en Todo El Mundo, and a demure, shy and retiring wallflower."
If I was accused of being half the stuff on that guys list, I would seriously think about making some changes in my personality.
"I didn't ~get~ the level of hostility toward Harley's feet. Heavens they look like horse feet.."
I thought they looked fine. I've seen some crappy horseshoeing jobs in my day and Harley's ain't one of 'em.
We're not sure how old she is, I got her at the dog pound. The vet guessed about 2 years old at that time so she'd be about 3 now.
We had her neutered but she had the problem before that. I think she's somewhat house trained but it's so chaotic in this house and she's so tiny that we don't always listen to her signals.
Hey tuffy:)
Aren't you picking up Tuffy today?
Becky
I'm going to call the vet in a little while. I want to give him time to get there and look at Tuffy. I hope he'll let me bring him home today, tomorrow is going to be very windy and I hate pulling that big trailer in the wind.
Becky, 80 degrees! It was 5 this morning here. It's going to warm up tomorrow. (I hope).
What a shame about the hay situation. Hopefully, you Westerners will have a better year.
Just talked to the vet and it was encouraging. He said Tuffy needs to be off the strongid, definitely. Is weaning him off the pain meds, keeping taped on pads on his feet and wants to keep him another 48 hours. I was sure hoping to bring him home today but I'm not rushing nuttin'.
Good morning :~D
1. We didn't see Jack enough!
2. I think Sean Astin was miscast in that role too. And the rest of the casting has been good, so I wondered if it was intentional... He just seems too young and too much suffering from "short man syndrome" to have ever been put in the position he was put in, even by an idiot president. He's a maaaaaaaaad hobbit now! :~D
3. The president is unbelievably weak. And the first lady's gonna blow the lid off it now, I bet. I don't think Logan is relieved or happy that she survived at all. It creates big problems for him.
4. I haven't heard the rumor... but I don't think the show will make it without Jack. I have thought they at least need to move to a new city. A city can only have so many of that kind of day in a series ;~D I like Tony too... and he can be good, but I don't know if he can be Jack :~D
5. Good show though :~D - Lord I'd love to poke Logan in the eye. He's GOT to go.
Well, I know this is costing you another fortune, but I am glad he is continuing to improve. :~D
Hoo boy, I haven't even asked what this is gonna cost. I'll make sure I'm sitting down when they tell me.
Becky, are you going to ask what exactly those horseshoers mean with their ogling posts about Harley's back shoe?
I assume they mean it's unusual looking, but since one of their brethren made it and put it on, I'd think they'd at least want to know what it was supposed to do.
The long post from the one lady farrier is a little too complicated for me, and it's not all a good sign that she even read your post before answering, because she doesn't know how old he is.
I was wondering what the little googly eyed thing was supposed to mean, as well. It was just a shoe with trailers, wasn't it? Those are pretty common.
I think they must be glancing at the pics then thrilling us all with their vast knowledge. You'd think they were brain surgeons.
Here is an excerpt I just got from a very dear friend of mine:
"sister n law...I know her well, , ...lives in Brownwood & got kicked in the face by a horse 5 days ago. She is in hospital & has already had 2 jaw surgeries! It knocked teeth out of her mouth. Shatterd her jaw. She nearly had to have a trach to breath cause she is so swollen." >>( Her teeth went through the flesh of her face from the force of the kick!!).... She was doing what she did everday while her husband, was working in FTW. She fed their horses. Dr said if it had of been any higher up she would be dead. Now THAT was a KICK!! She is still in ICU now as I type she looked AWFUL. said her whole body was swollen. But especially her head area."
I took out all the names and places, that's why it looks so choppy. Very scary.
Wow... bad scene. I hope she recovers, it's gonna be a long haul for her.
She is a sweetheart. That face just makes you want to pick her up and hug her :)
A fuzzy face gets me every time.
I just posted again - trying to be a diplomat as always :~D
