He's the one who said someone was going to get killed.

Tony admitted he did it on purpose, said Matt turned him sideway's on 3. Didn't see that part of the race, but why admit something like that?

RYan newman will be thepoints leader Tuesday. everyone knows that at least 25 points and maybe 50 are coming off the board for the 48, and Knaus will be gone for another 3-4 weeks.
That said, it is crap like this that gets NASCAR called WWE on wheels. this was not the car coming in 1/16 of an inch low or the roof being flat from the driver standing on it in victory lane. What Knaus did in qualifying was a deliberate attempt to get an advantage over the rest of the field.
all joe blow sixpack is going to see is 48 caught CHEATING before the race, and then the 48 still in victory lane after the race.
The 48 should have been told to pack thier hauler up and leave the premises as soon as the car was found illegal last Sunday. Until NASCAR does that, or until they take away a win for a car caught with illegal parts they will be consider on the same par as wrestling by a lot of people.
They also need to take some points from Smoke, Kyle Busch and Jamie McMurray for thier blatant driving crap.

And the CHEATERS win....
It's funny how NASCAR acts all tough, but then the penalties they hand out are very weak - it's clear they want controversy, crashes, bump-drafting, etc.
If NASCAR was serious about cheating, they would do a few things different:
Your crew trys to break the rules - everybody sets out a race - driver, car, crew. Mr. Johnson would have been watching from the grandstands.
You deliberately wreck somebody, you don't go to the end of the line, you go at least one lap down.
Parts of NASCAR have just become a joke. What they say and what they actually do are two different things.
You and I aren't the only ones wondering what might be illegal on Johnson's car.

I had JJ pre-picked before Flash almost put it on the pole.

Great race! I gotta be at the next one in 2007, would be my first time ever.
Bought the NASCAR Trackpass, it was really neat listening to the crew chiefs and drivers.

It'll be interesting to see what the officials decide..
Nascar is not letting the crew members touch the car as Nascar officials personally clear the confettii off the #48 car in victory lane.

That was early in the race, in turn 2, otherwise known as Calamaty Corner. Stewart went high alone, got alongside, got loose, and saved it.
Then, a bit later in the race, same corner, he got way loose again alongside Kenseth, Gordon tried to slice by in the middle, and Gordon and Stewart got together coming out of 2.

Nascar officials are by the car in Victory Circle. IF there is an issue, it WILL be found. As has been said, they probably inspected this car FAR more than any other this weekend.
Of course, none of the old timers used to tweak the rules right?

Race officials cleaning off the 48 car...about 6 off them are all standign around it...not letting any 48 crew members get to it...that car is going to be taken apart completely for post-race inspection...and then it will go into the Dayton Museum for the rest of the year.
That's IT from Nothing But Commercials coverage...thank goodness they don't take over again until JOLIET race...
