Please add me to your AI ping-list! Thanx
To: Wolfstar
Arista has previous Idol winners Rueben, Fantasia and Carrie as well as Manilow and Rod Stewart who is also supposed to have some involvement on the show this year.
Bo Bice, Kelly Clarkson and Clay Aiken are on RCA which is part of BMG which is also related to Arista.
Stevie Wonder is Motown.

Hi, Wolfstar :)
As of a few minutes ago, this thread has gotten 101,487+ views.
And as I type, it's gotten 102,501! About a 1,000 more hits and we'll pass last year's record (103,466+ views :)
In my opinion, this is the weakest group of finalists in AI history
You're kidding! The first season was by far the weakest--if it hadn't been for Kelly and Tamayra Gray it would've been a total bust. The third season's group wasn't all that strong either.
IMO, this year's group is fairly solid, with the obvious exception of Pee Wee.

(Manilow) what the man doesn't know about the industry would probably fit in a thimble, and he's one of the all-time best-ever song arrangers ... They could learn a LOT from him, if they actually get to talk with him, and have the brains to know what to ask. I agree. I can't stand Manilow's music, but he's one of the most accessible pros that's ever been involved with Idol. The last time he was a guest on the show (I think) was in 2004, and he wasn't afraid to tell the contestants what they were doing wrong and how they could do it right.
Most of the time, these guest pros (like Stevie Wonder) are like spectators. They don't want to hurt anyone's feelings so they don't offer any constructive criticism. Manilow does.

two contestants snuck out for a night on the town, got caught and were threatened with dismissal if they did it again. Three guesses who.

You're kidding! No, but admittedly I have been in a real downer of a mood due to the PC problems. Whatever you do, don't ever buy anything of significance at CompUSA. Get this:
Around noon, I called them to check status for the first time in several days. The dude who answered said "the part" (I assume meaning the hard drive, since they have never told me what their diagnostics showed) had not yet arrived. In contrast to what I had been told a week ago (it would take from one to three days), he told me it would take from seven to 10 working days for the part to arrive.
So I wrote a letter to the CEO of CompUSA in Dallas and sent it via express mail when I went to lunch. I then called and left a message for the store manager and let her know I wrote and sent the letter to the CEO. The store manager has never returned a phone call and didn't this time. However, moments ago I got a call from the technician saying the PC is ready.
From "it takes from seven to 10 days for the part to arrive" at noon, to "it's ready" at around 4:15pm. Amazing, no?! And you can just imagine the level of trust I have in that machine and their repairs now.

They should have a "Queen" week, where they do songs from Queen Nightmare flashback of Constantine singing "Bohemian Rhapsody" last year :o

Am I the only one who thinks Chris looks like a friendly Vin Diesel? I saw Diesel on Letterman's show last night ... I think Chris is smarter than him too.

I hope your PC works okay now (after hearing of your experience, I'm never going to buy anything from CrapUSA).
