I've been singing in my head since I got home. It won't go away.
I think there's some confusion as to the definition of a power ballad. A power ballad is a slow tempo (sometimes even in 6/8 time) song with driving guitar that is designed to "crossover" to a pop audience. "Open Arms" by Journey is the prototypical one, although "Sister Christian" by Night Ranger is a good example as well. "Layla," as an uptempo rock song, does not qualify, but "Wonderful Tonight" would if the guitar was a little more driving. "Closer to the Heart," while cool, is way out.
Some songs that were omitted:
"High Enough" by Damn Yankees
"All I Want to Do is Make Love to You" by Heart
Anything by Chicago after 1981 or so
Oh, and Winger is definitely "Stuart Music."
