Wind shifted around to the south, very strong. The sun has come out in the last hour. Could be worse in early February!
"I haven't read everything either!!"
Slackers!
... Kidding... I tried estimating it once and figured it equalled (in length only) the collected writings of Will Shakespeare.
Naturally, there's a difference. His stuff wasn't as topical.
Ugh. Trying to find out what state bills survived the first cutoff date. It's all on one web page, but that page is taking forever to load. I suspect the state gov't servers are seriously overloaded.
Too late! NicknamedSue is having an attack of Spring Cleaning Fever and has decided to tackle, (with my help, of course!) cleaning and organizing the cellar stairway.
I'll be down for the count, mates!
It's also 10s of 1000s of pages longer than Tolstoy's War and Peace.
I think it should be published on multiple CDs.
The only problem would be, (and IYellAt can back me up on this, I'm sure,) you'd have an overwhelming urge to respond -- to a post over a year old!
But then, now you know why IYellAt has finally surfaced!
Oh-oh, break time's over, back on my head.
Would an 8gb flash drive be more appropriate?
I'm not sure how much memory is required, but I think the real problem is trying to cut and paste the gist of the conversation, without totally losing the dynamics of the hypertext format.
Even though it wouldn't be possible to comment to a reply over a year old, it would be cool to be able to track links through the historical archive. Having it in a memory form, or CDs, would allow one to take the Thread on vacation or to a remote site, and still have lots of reading material. It really is very entertaining.
I took my neighbor to a chili cook-off/cub scout banquet last night, and he was one of three cooks who got a prize. But that's not surprising to me...he's a chef...;o]
(The best part of it is that he wants MY chili recipe!!)
Calvin is over whatever it was that he had from eating some bad food, and just as huggy as ever, and Hobbes is her usual snobby self.
I don't know how long I'll be here. I'm not feeling too great but I don't know if it's another relapse or if I've just done too much the last two days. I really DO want to feel well enough to enjoy the game tomorrow!
Welcome IYellAt and Indy! Please make yourselves at home! We're always looking for new *ahem* people to experiment on get new ideas from. Some days, the Think Tank is very busy. Darks was being polite about the typo virus he infects us all with. Unfortunately, it affects me only when he lurks. Go figger.
Welcome, again! I hope you like it here!
Is that "king" your alter ego?
*smirk-smirk*
Was surfing and found it. Just had to show King Prout and figured this was as good a place as any. Those comercials crack me up. This one caught my eye also......
Hi, 'Face. :-)
Hi Kiddo!
Did you chase away the migraine yet?
Yepper...I didn't watch/listen to the commercials at first (I either watch with the sound off or listen while sitting here...) until just recently.
Yah ~ I have to agree...funny stuff. ;o]
Hi, Tulip!
How are things in the Midwest? We have 81 at the moment. Still "sweater weather" for me, though!
Hi folks!
It's still making my neck numb which means it could come back, but for now...I'm OK. Thanks!
And you?
It's a bit chilly here today - currently 30 degrees.
Hi fanfan. :-)
